They do not play well with others especially those outside their ideological circle. The balkenization of internet forums has been in a state of steady progression since long before the era of Trump. Just leave it be. Nothing good can come of it.
Gone are the days when posters could differ ideologically and still remain civil. Liberals take criticism of their ideology as a personal affront to their morality and intellect while conservative see criticism of their ideology as a platform for rational debate. The two attitudes are irreconcilable. That's the problem in a nutshell.
