Antifa is not just an idea; it's a dangerous organization with a similar structure to that of an Islamic terror cell, according to the National Police Association spokesperson and retired Sgt. Betsy Brandner Smith.
"Antifa is more than just an idea, Antifa has quite a history, going back to the 20s and 30s and Hitler's brown shirts and then we come into the anarchists of the 60s through to today," Smith told The Epoch Times "Crossroads" program.
Smith said Democrats have struggled to identify Antifa due to their being "no head of the organization," and "no real paramilitary structure."
"The left likes to be able to go to a blue-checked Twitter account and say 'okay, this guy's the head of Antifa.' That's now how it works," she said. "Anita's structure is really more like that of an Islamic terror cell, something like that. But just because we don't have a paramilitary structure for Antifa, doesn't mean they don't exist and doesn't mean they're not dangerous."
President Donald Trump has blamed anti-fascist protesters for inciting violence at protests across the United States since May. Peaceful protests throughout the country have often been hijacked by Antifa and other extremist groups and have resulted in businesses being destroyed, looted, and set on fire.
Speaking about how Antifa may be designated a terrorist group, Smith explained, "What we have to do is look at their actions. For example, we have dealt with for quite a while in this country, going back to radical Islam, these lone-wolf terrorists who, are they a lieutenant or a captain in ISIS? No, that's how we have to look at Antifa. Do they follow the beliefs of Antifa, do they dress like Antifa, are they mobilized as part of Antifa. And that's what we're seeing and I think we're about to see it again this weekend."
The retired Sergeant said people in the United States "need to be able to engage in peaceful protests" and noted that the country had seen many peaceful protests in the recent Black Lives Matter movement, the "radical Marxist arm of Black Lives Matter incorporated has now hooked up with Antifa and now they don't peacefully protest; they burn, they loot, they riot."
Smith called on law enforcement to arrest Antifa members for violating the law and to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
She also said that every police leader in the country needs to video tape and document the "mostly peaceful protests" and show the American public what is really happening, after noting that law enforcement members were being put in danger during the riots which were being reported as "peaceful" in the media.
"We have, depending on the area of the country we are talking about, we have a law enforcement that is afraid of Antifa, [the media] are in bed with the left, and so they don't want to show these non-peaceful protests. The American public is being deceived, we all know that, by the legacy media. And law enforcement officers are the victims of it."

Biden and the Democrats know Antifa is a real organization. Sorry Biden, Antifa is more than an idea.
I would be nervous taking part in a public rally or protest because of Antifa bullies.
Antifa is particularly violent with racial minorities and members of the LGBT community who are conservative.
A radical leftist was arrested Wednesday in connection with the Feb. 24 bombing outside the Republican attorney general's office in Montgomery, Alabama. Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert, 26, of Irondale has been indicted on two felony counts of malicious use of an explosive and possession of an unregistered destructive device.
Calvert, an anti-Israel "pansexual" and self-described engineer, apparently reckons himself part of the left-wing extremist group Antifa, which former President Donald Trump suggested in 2020 should be designated a domestic terrorist organization. Weeks ahead of the incident, Calvert showcased the same Antifa propaganda that was later found near the bomb site along with pro-abortion and LGBT agitprop.
If you are ever confronted by Antifa, you would do well to recognize that no matter how you act, you are in fact "fucked".
Got that? Good. Now that you understand this, you are free to do whatever the fuck you think is appropriate to get them off your case. Yes, the cops will likely arrest you for busting their noodly arms, for kicking them in their man made vaginas, for macing their pussy-hatted boyfriends and administering shotgun enemas with impunity. Remember; it doesn't matter because you've already come to their attentions and someone is going to fuck you six ways from sunday.
So you may as well take a few of them down with you, right? Give them a reason to ree and potentially think twice before they go after the next guy or gal.
Or you can let them get away with it, maybe cry at what mean bullies they are. Play the victim, come to your safe places online and have a good old sook about it... after they've fucked you up. For whatever good that will do you.
The choice is yours. But if you do decide to one-up their bullshit, I won't be the only one cheering you on. More people than you know that hear about your example will be inspired and we can start clawing back the decency these assholes have stolen through Fear.

They know that in some blue states, sympathetic DA's will not prosecute them with the same zeal as the Proud Boys.

Correct, and when you couple that with the Fear that the average person exercises when confronted the rank and file of Antifa mobs, this effectively means they face no consequence at all. That is why they can (and do) behave like complete assholes.
The fix is simple. I've presented it in my previous post. It is pure logic and it every one of us is free to practice it, sure in the knowledge that they cannot possibly do any worse to us than they already have.
What? You think they'd stand their ground if you went all Mel Gibson on their asses? They'd run like little bitches and you know it.
Antifa accidentally beats up one their own. :crampe:

It was funny as fuck Lokmar.
An Antifa ringleader based in Portland, Oregon, was found guilty on Wednesday of felony riot, disorderly conduct in the second degree, and unlawful use of mace in the second degree in relation to a riot in 2021 at a park in neighboring Clackamas County.
A self-described independent journalist, Alissa Eleanor Azar was charged in connection with a riot that started when Antifa showed up to counter right-wing and conservative activists holding a voter registration drive in Clackamette Park in Oregon City. Video evidence showed Azar rushing in to use bear mace against a woman, according to the Post Millennial.
Azar also has a long history of carrying out attacks with Antifa and being arrested in Multnomah County, where Portland is located. However, because of the progressive district attorney's office, Azar was never charged in that jurisdiction, according to the Post Millennial.
A man with suspected Antifa sympathies pleaded guilty on Friday to detonating an explosive device filled with nails outside the Alabama Attorney General's Office earlier this year, according to the Department of Justice.
Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert, 26, of Irondale, Alabama, pleaded guilty in federal court to the malicious use of an explosive device he set off during the early morning hours of Feb. 24 outside the Alabama Attorney General's Office in downtown Montgomery. No injuries were reported.
Calvert admitted during the plea hearing to manufacturing the device himself, using items such as nails and screws to act as shrapnel along with accelerants to cause an explosion. The DOJ has said Calvert filled the device with nails to maximize its destructive capability.
After placing the explosive device near the Attorney General's Office, Calvert lit its fuse and fled the scene. Law enforcement arrested Calvert on April 10.
He had previously posted Antifa content on social media, expressed his belief that violence should be directed against the government and placed Antifa stickers near the scene of the crime, the DOJ said. Calvert claims he has no affiliation with Antifa, short for "antifascist," a far-left militant movement that sees itself as a descendant of the European anti-Nazi movements, and generally agrees that the best way to combat ideas they find odious is not through speech or debate but by direct action and physical confrontation.
Calvert faces between five and 20 years in prison. The FBI is investigating the case with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
n July 2020, far-left U.S. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) — chairman of the House Judiciary Committee at that time — said on camera incredulously that Antifa violence that had been documented night after night that summer in Portland, Oregon, is a "myth."
What's more, during a September 2020 presidential debate, then-Democrat nominee Joe Biden told then-President Donald Trump that FBI director Christopher Wray said "Antifa's an idea, not an organization."
We know all too well that Antifa is all too real. We know for a fact that the collection of violent, black-clad left-wing militants is organized in regional and local groups throughout the U.S. — and they view it as their calling to attack police, set fires, destroy property, and roam the streets looking to intimidate all those who get in their way.
But it does no good for those who sit in power on the far left to acknowledge Antifa and its lawlessness because Antifa members — psychotic pseudo-soldiers one and all — do the dirty work of leftist elites.

Parts of America, like Portland and Chicago, now resemble occupied territory. Progressive city governments have surrendered control to street militias, leaving citizens, journalists, and even federal officers to face violent anarchists without protection.
Take Portland, where Antifa has terrorized the city for more than 100 consecutive nights. Federal officers trying to keep order face nightly assaults while local officials do nothing.
Chicago offers the same grim picture. Federal agents have been stalked, ambushed, and denied backup from local police while under siege from mobs. Calls for help went unanswered, putting lives in danger. This is more than disorder; it is open defiance of federal authority and a violation of the Constitution's Supremacy Clause.
A history of violence
For years, the legacy media and left-wing think tanks have portrayed Antifa as "decentralized" and "leaderless." The opposite is true. Antifa is organized, disciplined, and well-funded. Groups like Rose City Antifa in Oregon, the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club in Texas, and Jane's Revenge operate as coordinated street militias. Legal fronts such as the National Lawyers Guild provide protection, while crowdfunding networks and international supporters funnel money directly to the movement.
In June, the left launched its "No Kings" protest to denounce the horrific "authoritarian dictatorship" of Donald Trump. Deporting illegal alien gang members, preventing the mutilation of children, and punishing criminals all became proof of Trump's incipient "fascism."
Now that Trump has deployed National Guard troops to stop violent leftist mobs from attacking ICE officers, Democrats and the left have decided to stage a sequel on Saturday. The whole thing will look like farce — clever signs, bad folk music, and stale slogans — but behind the clown show, the left is radicalizing shock troops preparing to do real violence.

I recall a protest at University of Missouri years ago where it appeared that they were getting their talking points from radical professors at Ivy League schools.

Universities are radicalization breeding grounds. I look forward to a time when marxist professors are held accountable for inciting violence.
The disingenuous left is at it again — raging on X, posting grainy photos of World War II soldiers, and proclaiming, "Grandpa was Antifa!"
Because, you see, Grandpa fought Hitler. Or Hirohito. Or Mussolini. They were fascists, Grandpa was anti-fascist, and since "anti-fascist" shortens to "Antifa," presto — Grandpa was Antifa.
Beyond the obvious militarism of Hitler's Germany, Mussolini's Italy, and Hirohito's Japan, the fascist regimes of the 20th century shared three defining traits. First, a top-down command economy controlled by a central planning body. Second, an integrated industrial and banking system. Third, a relatively homogeneous population under rigid state control.
Now ask yourself: Does the United States fit that mold? No central economic planning agency, no state-directed industrial-banking complex (ask the Fed and the Securities and Exchange Commission), and certainly no single, homogeneous racial population.
What we do have is an ever-multiplying swarm of willfully obtuse, historically illiterate useful idiots eager to join whatever digital mob happens to be trending this week.
The kind who think "being a furry" is a lifestyle choice worth defending.
