The problem isn't whether or not a country has rare earth metals. but whether or not a country can REFINE rare earth metals.
The chinese don't give a shit and have no problem dumping radioactive sludge all over the place.

And those issues are quickly being resolved and china went from having 93% of Rare earth metal production down to just 70%.
As it stands right now, yeah they will dominate the market and big companies will just continue to send this stuff to china anywaysa, becauase they would rather have chinese people asemble them for pennies on the dollar.

More than wages, if production of raw materials or the manufacture of wind and solar components are outside China they can't threaten to bring a country to it's knees like they did to Japan with rare earths and like they did to the West with medical supplies during this pandemic.

As a result of this concession, U.S. investors, through their pension funds, have been unknowingly transferring wealth from the United States to Chinese entities that don't comply with U.S. standards. Some of these companies are sanctioned by the U.S. government even as they're involved in the Chinese Communist Party's military, espionage, and human rights abuses.
