I didn't know you were into camping.
I used to love camping when I was a kid, until I became disabled it wasn't convenient for me.  But one thing I always dreamed off was living a mobile life and owning a RV trailer, but at the same time in terms of ROI it wasn't practical enough for me, only traveling once or twice a year.  Then I found this tent and thought it was a great idea as a substitute for RV, not to mention it attracts a lot less attention than a trailer and doesn't make the car burn up any excess gas.  Now all I need is one of those portable bbq stove, a table, chair, a shit bucket and I'm all set, lol.

It's similar to a toaster oven.

Lmao, she might be stubborn when it comes to cooking due to being a vegetarian, but she does spoils me when I was a kid, but at the same time she never drove me to my friends' birthday party b/c she doesn't know how to read and use a map, lol.

Naw, she lets me eat meat, but just seldom cooks it, though one of my favorite food is something she will never ever cook, which is beef due to religious reaons, lol.
I don't mind her boiling vegetables and noodles or steaming rice, but the problem is she always turns on the stove and goes watch youtube and it ends up overcooked, making the noodle into nothing but a soupy sludge with no texture to it.

Yea, I dun remember exactly how it works but if I remember vaguely it works by CCP appointing out the candidates, then they let the most pro-China/CCP nationalistic locals living in HK choose who gets to be Chief executive.

Those look pretty comfy to sleep in, I'm tempted to buy one but I'll have to hold onto my wallet for now, have already spent too much on camping gear in the past few days, lol.
I got a 50 buck coupon with a 50 buck annual enrolment to Ebay Plus so they only cost 10 bucks apiece (shipping costs).

I need some new shirts and slacks, but you can't try on clothes. I don't buy clothes online for that reason.
Clothes, socks and shoes are something I seldom think of buying, I always wear my pants and shirts until they start to tear and have holes in them.  Then my family thinks I'm a disgrace wearing the same set of worn out clothes when I'm with them and they end up buying more for me, most of them are the afforable Japanese brand uniqlo, it's equivalent to North America's Old Navy brand.

Dang, that's almost like getting a freebie item for that price.  I'd love sleeping in a hammock, but I can imaging my youngest nephew waking me up by poking underneath me with a tree branch.

You should check out uniqlo when you're at the mall Fash, it's affordable but doesn't look dull imo.  My brother told me that some Japanese girls refuse to date guys that wears nothing but uniqlo b/c they exploit that brand too much, lol.

My husband doesn't like Uniqlo, but he is tall and muscular, and he's also mid forties..
He finds their cothing more appropriate for men in their twenties with smaller frames.

That's the good thing about uniqlo clothes is they have good cutting, unlike most American tshirt are so baggy and loose I feel like wearing a dress.

Many Japanese manufactured products are great, until they die a planned obsolescence death.
Like Honda's.. fantastic to operate until around 6-10 years and everything falls apart.

Sounds like it happens to synchronize with the law in Japan that doesn't allow people to keep their car more than 10 years, forcing the owner to sell them to 3rd world countries in order to keep their auto industry alive and active.
Though I'm surprised you'd say that, knowing you won't make stuff up, but my family and I have fortunate experience with Japanese good. We bought a Sony radio when we first moved to Canada in 1988 and my mom still listens to it today.

That is bullshit enviro rulles written by the big Japanese automakers. Members of the Diet(parliament) are on their payrolls. I've seen plenty of 25 year old Japanese cars(mostly Toyota) imported from Japan and with the steering column on the right hand side here in the Czuk. They are in good running order.

A lot of things are over engineered and with connectivity issues when they go bad.
I still have a Sony Waverider alarm clock, and it's never missed a beat. Vehicles are a different story. My Legend was a finicky money pit... every gasket, seal, electric motor, sensor on it shit the bed, and around the same time.

That's what I was thinking too, lol.  I gave my brother my 12 year old Civic hybrid and never had a malfunction except for the motor that roll up the window on the driver side.
While on the other hand, our first car, the GM tempest my mom drives years ago, some of the door swing open while making turns.  Or the fully digitalize dashboard on my dad's Oldsmobile goes dark while driving, while one time the brakes all of a sudden doesn't work at all, lol.

It might be your car happens to be a lemon, I mean in most 3rd world places everyone would do anything to get their hands on a used Toyota.

That's what I was thinking too, lol.  I gave my brother my 12 year old Civic hybrid and never had a malfunction except for the motor that roll up the window on the driver side.
There are cars in mint condition in Japan with less than 50k on them that can no longer be certified for the road. The big Japanese automakers say it's safer and better for mother nature to buy a new one. :001_rolleyes:

Toyota's fare better generally but they have probs. Like the Hilux's horns not being to be engaged unless you turn the wheel. Landcruisers are phenomenal but you pay 6 figures for one and have to usually order them from delivery. My car's problem was the environment. It wasn't designed to last in a really hot environment.

I hope so too, the funny thing is I didn't even realized diesels last so long before buying it, at first I went for it mainly for it's towing capability, but now that I put my RV fantasies aside, I should make use of it's life expectancy.

They make the most sense for weight and aerodynamics, secure sides, insulation, standing room when changing or stretching legs, and stowing of external campground gear.
Some people even mod them to be able to access and sleep in them for stealth urban camping without having to pop the top up. ie... park on a street and crawl in by the side/with a sleeping mat and bag on the floor.

My vehicle is tricked out for camping large or small but I prefer quick and easy unless it's a medium to longer stay.
Just bought a couple more mesh encased hammocks for quick sleeping in dry weather. Everything fits in a couple bags on the floor well of the back seats. Beats hauling out pelican cases from the tub and taking 45 minutes to set up camp.

Anywhere from 2-8 hours away for a fish, and at least 2 days. I've got a 40 litre fridge/freezer in the vehicle and 200 watts of solar panel. No rush to get home.

Lol now you got me tempted and the Aliner is on my consider list.  I like teardrop trailers, but one thing I hate about most RV is they attract too much attention, looks like the Aliner solves this issue.

I like the teardrop for it's interior design, but the Aliner suits all my functional needs.  ac_umm

They are nice but roughly 40-50k?
I'd be buying a used Aliner from the 2000's, after getting an independent assessor to go over it with an inspection.
Live in it for awhile, even give it an interior makeover, and if you still want nicer, sell it without a loss and buy a new tear-drop...
You may find it isn't the life for you.

You are a single guy. It's perfect for you. There is a second bed if your brother joined you.
You've just read my mind, lol.  I was hoping to get my brother and his wife to tag along if I ever happen to buy an RV.

They used to only cost 34k for the standard model, but now with the COVID rv sales has soared and spiked it up to 44k.  But once everyone has jobs and goes back to working after the vaccination it'll drop back down to around 35k, lol.

I never thought those Aliners were so frickin expensive. You can get a really good second hand RV/trailer for well under ten grand on the prairies.

You can get a used 2006-2012 Aliner for between 5-12k AUD here, and we pay through the nose...

Aliners mostly range from 18 to 25k depending on the model from what google shows, think Dinky assumed the price based of the teardrop t@b 400 video I've posted.

We so miss our several years of  6 months a year stays in the woods while on or nearby projects
It was a 30 footer, not ostentatious but had it all .. aw those romantic bbq suppers every night under tarp in any weather as darkness was arriving ..  often in the presence of deer (and always in the presence of dear  :sneaky2: )   .. later the sounds of animals nearby  in the otherwise silent woods... awaked by the slap of beaver tails hitting the water as they dove in
And usually making good project money to boot .. in effect payed to spend such wonderful extended summers  .. it couldn't  get better and we couldn't have been luckier
