It looks like Batman's plane.
.
Speaking of Black Bird ^... I was fortunate to see SR71 Black Bird up close (a few 100 ft away) .. a closeup horizontal view of it flying

Had apartment on 27th floor next to Stanley Park .. it was going slow and low as it could over English Bay with tail quite low like it could fall out of the air .. then a bang like an explosion as it instantly jumped horizontal .. accelerated like a bullet .. flashed over and close to the Burrard Bridge and broke the sound barrier over Expo (about 1/2 mile away) a very few seconds later
It triggered a barrel full of frantic UFO calls from people at Expo who saw & heard only a blur very low in the sky and a lot of noise
Thats pretty cool, CC.
I´m jealous.
I want to see one flying... One of the coolest aircraft designs ever.
Not to mention the purpose for which it was built for.
cc, you could see the Snowbirds perform from your home?
Did then when in West End Vancouver as described above. I wasn't there too long but fortunately was for Expo so saw all the planes including that monster Russian cargo plane slowly turn over the ocean and head over the Lions Gate Bridge for Expo at eye level
We also get the best of the Snowbirds here in White Rock as they do a show along White Rock Beach each summer ... coming close to ground toward beach & continuing up the hill above the beach and then close over downtown city
Before we moved behind towers, we could hear them coming up the hill and then appear at top of hill close to ground, level off and go literally right over top of us
Still downtown just a block away, but since we moved, we just get glimpses .. $%^&# towers ac_smile
The black bird is the fastest plane in the world...
3 529 km/h which is near Mach 3.
The successor is gonna go over Mach 6.
7350 km/h.
It sure was impressive to see in action and from up close - what was lucky for me was that it slowed down almost to stall not too far from my apartment .. so I got a good look at it's ominous beauty before hitting full throttles, tail jumping up and and gone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
