The submarines will put us on a par with the Chinese submarine fleet with a longer range and very low detection possibility. In effect, we will be able to intercept Chinese naval vessels in their own backyard without them knowing we are there. It's not simply that they are nuclear powered. They also incorporate missile launching capabilities including the US Tomahawk missile.

France had 6 years to start building subs they signed on for. As at the time of the AUKUS agreement, not a single steel component had been built. The French deal was a travesty signed by one of the worst Prime Ministers in our history. We would have ended up with obsolete barges that had no chance of defending our borders. France sold us a dud. Getting out of that deal was the best thing this current PM has done.

Yeah I love Kungfu. I have my black sash(belt) equivalent in Wing Chun, although as you may know, the Chinese don't necessarily use the "westernised" ranking system as it's pretentious. I also have Shaolin-based 5 animal style Kungfu under my belt, although I only attained my green sash as I found Shaolin Kungfu to be a tad too theatrical. Wing Chun is a lot more practical when it comes to self-defense.

Truth be told, my mother was going through serious cancer. She had just won gold in Montreal for Australia in Dragon Boat racing. She was training for the Italian event when she couldn't shake off a chest infection which turned out to be cancer. The cancer started getting everywhere and I started hitting the alcohol hard. I gave up surfing and just binge drunk the nights away. The cancer was insidious and ate her away completely.That was the Gallium you may have met. RIP mother dearest.

Filled the cracks in the walls, fixed the door, my lock was a bent over nail and I killed 10 venomous snakes between the asbestos corrugated roof and concrete blocks.

The worst thing was that Nelson Mandela's tribe raped and smashed a Zulu woman about 200m away from me against the concrete floor until she was flat as a pancake, they chopped her body into thin slices that could be flushed down the toilet. When the police rocked up (neighbours heard screams) Nelson Mandela's men managed to get her elbow stuck in the s-bend of the toilet and foiled their window of escape.
