My son tested positive!!! I tested negative.I am a "close contact" so have to go into isolation.
My wife had already moved to our daughter's house for safety and to ensure that plague couldn't spread to our daughter's babies.
So, I am now in lock down. Negative test, but in isolation. My wife had to drop groceries off at the door and leave without even saying hello.
If anyone is passing by, ring the doorbell and say hello.

I too also do not like how families are treating the infected person as diseased. Usually when one gets sick, someone is there to take care of that person, be it a family member, a spouse, or even a good roommate friend.

It is more haphazard than its predecessor, suggesting that some people have immunity from it, but they don't know how at the moment.
These are people with no prior infections. It may be different immnunity characteristics, different environmental factors...they just don't know. But people are now regularly reporting close contacts but constantly test negative.

They've recently forced truck drivers coming into Canada from the USA to be vaccinated.

I dont need a test to tell me Im sick. Nor did I need to go to a doctor for a cold, that they would of said "you'll heal on your own".
My son fell for that shit. He has insurance (much like Canadians straining their health care systems), so he went. He waited 8 hours just to be told "you'll heal on your own", and was sent on his way after they got their "number", with no medicine. Hes fine now too.

I'm fully aware of basic cricket rules. Was just smartassing you ... in a friendly way of course
While in UK as a teenager, got invited to a Sunday afternoon cricket afternoon ... It was all males on the field, but as guest they invited me to play a while on a sunny Sunday afternoon outing in the UK
As a member of the school softball team I at least had that skill with me - I held the bat thingy like a baseball bat & the kind bowler threw me one waist high ... We got a few runs or whatever they call it
Then a smartass poor sport got the bowler (I think he's called) to throw it high & he hit one very hard directly at me - fortunately I caught it and tried to pretend my hands didn't hurt
It was a Sunday afternoon social event with the ladies visiting each other & putting out the goodies (food that is .. what they did after, I didn't ask)

Did a real tour of Southern UK as a teen ... got as far north as S Yorkshire .. also stayed on Guernsey a while where part of family is from .. what a wonderful place

Ay, by gum...all the way oop to Yorkshire, where cricket is a religion. You must therefore have passed close to my home town. Peterborough.
I don't recall that name - was headed for Harrogate where grandfather, a bomber navigator is buried .. also stayed with wonderful people in Castleford - they adopted & regularly tended his grave and regularly communicated with my mother .. Wonderful people .. we stayed a few days in their house
Had my first Guinness at a pub in Castleford
