Here's the real story.
On the same page, data shows that unvaccinated individuals have significantly higher numbers of hospitalization and death (Table 6 – 12).
For example, Table 6 shows that the hospitalization rate per 100,000 of unvaccinated patients between 70 and 79 years was 6982.35, while for those with three doses in the same age group was 39.69. Table 11 shows that the rate per 100,000 of unvaccinated patient deaths between 70 and 79 years was 1885.34 compared to the 2.30 for those who received three doses. Both of these examples show data in the past 120 days.
The page also explains: "63.1% of cases (210,176/333,235) since Jan 1, 2021 were unvaccinated or diagnosed within two weeks from the first dose immunization date. 77.8% of hospitalized cases (10,313/13,250) since Jan 1, 2021 were unvaccinated or diagnosed within two weeks from the first dose immunization date.
74% of COVID-19 deaths (1,368/1,849) since Jan 1, 2021 were unvaccinated or diagnosed within two weeks from the first dose immunization date."
Table 10 shows that 81.3% percent of ICU hospitalizations in the last 120 days in Alberta were unvaccinated.
While the vaccine does not protect an individual from the COVID-19 virus completely, the same data users are presenting shows that it significantly reduces the risk of severe illness and hospitalization.
VERDICT
Misleading. Data from the government of Alberta shows that unvaccinated individuals have higher rates of hospitalization and deaths.

It's getting so confusing that they're now starting to say "Up to date" instead of how many shots you need to be fully vaccinated. We have had several outbreaks pre omicron at our terminal in Winnipeg, across all railway departments. In running trades we have two long haulers. COVID is nothing to mess with. Delta in particlar was really bad.

Even if what you say is true, we're overall safe from the COVID, but then how is it okay to just throw the elderly or ill people under the bus, just let them die or fall severely ill. Not to mention it's highly unpredictable nature, I mean the fact that you can be a spreader until you realize only after 5 weeks for symptoms to show up. Another problem is everyone is getting ridiculously sick at work due to it's spreading nature along with the front line health care workers being at big risk.
In regards to your main point, I believe there's some truth to it but not absolute, even if our government is lying, how can we say for other countries that publish the same logical stats and people we personally know that got it and fall severely ill and need to go to the ICU (they are only in their 40s or younger). Unless the whole world is lying this doesn't counter my main point is that once people started taking the vaccine, death rates started dropping drastically while 3rd world that have a lower vaccination rate or lack of proper hygiene or preventive measure have a higher death rate.

Though a bit off topic, I don't think there is such thing as natural immunity, iirc when it comes medical research disease are only being "suppressed" in the body and kept at bay but never fully eradicated, eventually when you grow old they will come out again to take over your body.
One thing I do agree is that the vaccine is not yet perfect, and can have very minor health effects on the body, but then it's still better than being ill.
One question I'd like to ask is why would our government encourage everyone to take the vaccine.

One thing I do agree is that nursing homes here in Canada make up the majority of the cases and were the first wave of people to die due to covid, but afterwards it was discovered and has been news for months, iirc people still kept on dying until the vaccine has been rolled out, that is only then we've finally put an end to this madness.

I don't deny covid isn't as lethal as it is, tbh I never see it as something dangerous to me from the start, but that doesn't mean it's okay for us to just cull the weak and watch them die when all we have to do is to take preventive measures by taking the vaccine and/or always wear a mask in public, sanitize hands before and after going into public spaces.

This is where I have to fully disagree, the thing is no one is pointing a gun at people with allergies to eat the peanuts since they're well labeled with ingredients. He only had a quality air rifle, a 44 lever action, and a double barreled shotgun from the old days.
Took me half a dozen shots on the rifles before I could adequately hit a target. Suppose it's like riding a bicycle. The shotgun was no issue though...

I used the wrong word. Pistols are not illegal. Possession of a pistol without the appropriate licence, or where the pistol is unregistered, is illegal.

Of course, the trick is getting the thing registered and obtaining a pistol licence. They are not issued without a number of conditions.
