I had boots on the ground in Lincoln Fields when the whole "it's okay to punch a nazi" craze broke out circa 2018. Its loudest proponents were the university students... As to your question, I knew a few out that way, though it was maybe more common to see French speaking polynesians on Australia's shores than actual immigrants from France. Let's face it, tropical paradises are more fun a pile of red dirt littered with numbats and comatose woobla drinkers, possibly with Jimmy Barnes or Peter Garret screeching screeching in the background, I dunno.



I kid. Australia isn't without its charm, but if there's a dearth of Francophones there, I can understand why. Plenty of more agreeable climates to be had if you're going to spend the time to get halfway around the world, better cultures too I reckon. And Australia used to be a kinder, more welcoming place back in the day. Like Ottawa was ten years ago. Maybe they all moved out.
