In alt.flame they had a FAQ so people knew what alt.flame was and what you should post there, they also had a who's who so you knew who the hell was posting there.
A who is who is needed here so people know who these people are, I frequently see someone named "Guest" and I have no idea who this "guest" is, when I invite a "guest" into the house, I make sure I know there name, otherwise any old bum off the street could claim to be my "guest" and sleep on the couch all day.

Reddit is garbage and has a massive lefty bias. BF is a good forum in my opinion. It obviously isn't to everybody's taste and is far from perfect, but in this day and age where forums are going the way of the dodo, it's in pretty good standing in terms of daily traffic.

I do try but people just want to be insulting and fight. It's really pretty futile.
I have to agree with Frued. Discourse is dead. Even on more "mature" boards.....people are just more polite in their dismissiveness and biases.
