I notice all the Eastern States rivers on my continent are full of brown mud but Perth's Swan River Western Australia is blue and full of Blue Manna Crabs...

No. I never really got sick... just an almighty sore throat and the tops of my lungs were badly infected. I was put on antiviral meds which kills covid stone dead.
I never got a temp or sore muscles or any headaches

Remember that the Swan is estuarine and the salt water does wonders. I think pollution will not impact on the Swan as all the properties surrounding the Swan are already in existence and an increase in population will happen elsewhere. I spent over 10 years fishing and prawning the Swan River...it's truly a beautiful meandering river and ecological success. Home of the Rainbow Serpent. I lived in the suburb of Shelley whilst there.

Perth is overrated in my opinion...too bloody windy. And the city itself at night is overrun with juvenile delinquents roaming the streets. There's an adjoining part to the city called North Bridge that has a lot of pubs, clubs and restaurants. But also a lot of gang life and thuggish behaviour. Good place for a brawl and misadventure if one is so inclined.

There are some nice areas, but yes, there are a lot of depressed areas too.....more than most major cities in Canada..
My brother and his family live in rural Manitoba.....they go to Winnipeg several times a year.
