Going on any trips this summer Super?
We're going camping in Kananaskis..
Most summers we go to the Kootenays, but gasoline for our motorhome is so expensive.

You peobably take free public transit to and from work. That is a big saving.

We did a 2 night getaway in March (Vancouver Island) and a 3 night getaway a month ago (Okanagan). The Mrs is waiting for a surgery date. We have 3 week off in Sept (Had booked, and then canceled a cruise), but no plans until this surgery and recovery are over.
If I have any unused vacation days left in December, we might get away for a few nights.
Keep getting offers for free nights in Vegas, currently booked in March, but can cancel if we don't go.

Most of us and the infrastructure above ground probably won't exist in 10 years....
These high ticket public expenditures seldom go to cost or time frame. It's another way to make budget on dark programs out of the spotlight....

The original subway line in Toronto opened in 1953. It's still in use.

We've been down to Vegas 20 times in 20 years, and belong to most casino free rewards cards. M-life kept sending me emails offering me 4 free nights free.

If you ever gamble in Vegas, even just a little, sign up for the free players rewards cards. Earn points towards free play, free meals, and discount rooms. We LOVE www.totalrewards.com which is for all of the Caesars & Harrahs properties; The MGM properties have Mlife, and *thats* what we've booked our 4 free nights with in March. The room is free, BUT they still charge you the nightly resort fee, anywhere from $25 thru $50 a night.

I don't gamble, but I've heard there are other things to do there..
Perhaps seeing the Hoover Dam.

Vegas aint like a resort that you want a minimum of a week. Three or four nights there is more than enough. It aint exactly a healthy place.

Las Vegas isn't too far from the Gran Canyon too I believe.
And, there are non casino hotels too...
Most casino hotels add a nightly "resort fee" of between $25-50+ per night, in addition to posted rates.

Those hotels are off the strip and Fremont.
