I was an alcoholic and a speed freak before I finished high school. I quit drinking for seven years in the Middle East because there are serious consequences for boozing. Strangely enough they don't take drugs as seriously. I was a full blown coke head and taking perkies by the handfull. When I worked in SE Asia I gave up the drugs and drank like a fish. Here in Saskatchewan I do drugs and booze. I haven't been straight since I was fourteen. I am fifty four.

I've never tried an edible but if Virginia goes through with fully legalizing marijuana in 2024 I'll probably try them at least once.
I've also never dabbed or vaped weed... those techniques came about while I had been taking a loooong break from such substances.
Hydroponic weed was just getting fully mainstream in this area when I started my abstinence.
Now I do enjoy a toke now and then but nothing like how much I smoked in my late teens and twenties.
The weed today is a whole different animal and I've found that I'm a two-toke-joke at best now.
I'll probably never again build up the same tolerance I had for it back in the day and that's fine.
I wouldn't want to be stoned half the time anyway.

Two of my step brothers drank themselves to death. My nephew and three friends of mine died from meth and/or oxi use. My mom was a hard core oxi addict for the last years of her life.

I'm not sure exactly why someone would even try to convince themselves marijuana use is always without exception medicinal but I kinda feel sorry for her... that particular point of view is practically begging to get stirred up on a regular basis.

I have had acquaintances tell me how great edibles are. No thank you.
I've never tried an edible but if Virginia goes through with fully legalizing marijuana in 2024 I'll probably try them at least once.
I've also never dabbed or vaped weed... those techniques came about while I had been taking a loooong break from such substances.
Hydroponic weed was just getting fully mainstream in this area when I started my abstinence.
Now I do enjoy a toke now and then but nothing like how much I smoked in my late teens and twenties.
The weed today is a whole different animal and I've found that I'm a two-toke-joke at best now.
I'll probably never again build up the same tolerance I had for it back in the day and that's fine.
I wouldn't want to be stoned half the time anyway.

But a long time ago some friends and I would modify those bottle rockets with the plastic nose cones; we'd dump out the powder the rockets came with (usually sparkles or coloring) and refilled the noses with smokeless gunpowder.

Back in school it was civil war between Moshers/goths aka metal heads & scallies/chavs aka ravers like me.
Very different to how it was in the US I think, where European electronic dance music doesn't seem to have every been a major thing.
I was discussing this with Blazor only the other day on BF.... he said he used to struggle finding Euro dance tunes to listen to growing up.
I remember back in the 90's & 2000's MTV played very few trance tracks, it was all rock, hip hop and pop chart stuff.

How can you not like this? I just told Joe on BF my husband got me to marry him by learning to play this on piano because I told him in the first weeks I'd only get married again if I met a guy who could lol. He always starts playing this album a lot as it gets around fall and our anniversary
I'm not big on electronic. Industrial is as "electronic" as I go.
I hate (not really) to break this to you, A....but if you ever were an American or thrusted on over here....your people would be the metal heads and rockers :D

I've loved them since I was 14 and just never got sick of them and I go on seasonal binges starting from late summer straight through to the Christmas season lol.
I wouldnt say I'm a "hard core" fan....I've met the hard core TON fan base. I love them, they are the funniest fan base....but I'm definately not in the hard core fan group.

Since I got my driver's liscence at 18 (because I snuck out when I was 15 and took my grandmas car and went with a friend and met up with some other friends....and I got caught so I was allowed to get my liscence until I was 18) I've had it suspended 3 times due to speeding. (Not in a long time though)
Because of my music choices lol.
My husband was telling me there is some sort of Pantera reunion happening next year and Zack Wyld will be playing with them (since there is no Dime bag Darrell or Vinny Paul). We will more then likely go and take the girls :D

Creed would be like....alternative rock. Maybe grunge. It's not heavy at all.
I like alternative rock and some grunge. Classic rock. I'm just not big on rap and hip hop. I dont hate it....its just not my preferred. Especailly today. I'm one of those people getting old and hating on modern music lol. And it really is factually getting terrible....there is a study that supports that.

Naturally we were like chalk and cheese in everyway, dress sense wise, music taste, social circle, everything. But we actually ended up getting along pretty well and he showed me some tracks by Korn and Machinehead (I think) and I do admit that some songs weren't bad.
Like I said before though, the music genres of rock and electronic house/club music back then didn't just seperate people by their musical taste, it was a cultural thing too, which impacted the way we dressed, how we spoke and what clubs/venues we went to.
Ask any Brit around my age and they will know what I'm talking about.

I hung out in the metal/goth scene (which was my favorite) and the rave scene.
We didnt have these divisions really. People just like what they like.
