Title: Game of Thrones / House of the Dragon
Post by: Garraty_47 on July 23, 2022, 12:27:22 PM
HBO has been re-airing GoT; a season every day.

They're about finished with the 8th season right now.

I still can't decide if the HotD trailers/teasers are awesome or not but I'll be watching it anyway, at least the premiere.

I even have a big ol' bottle of pinot noir set aside for the occasion.

That became a bit of a tradition... having a glass (or two) of wine with each new GoT episode.

My expectations are extremely low... But I´ll watch it to see if its good.

I see there is a token jogger and lots of girl power.

Valyrians are not black.

The Game of Thrones universe ended at season 6.

I'd almost forgotten about this!

Several times over the course of GoT Tyrion starts to tell a joke but then either he gets interrupted or the scene cuts away.

Does anyone know the rest of:

"I once brought a jackassass and a honeycomb into a brothel..."

?????????????????????????????

That's going to bug me all day now.

Tyrion is the best character in the show.

But he got ruined in later seasons.

Hopefully we'll get to see Casterly Rock in this new series.

The Casterly Rock scene was just bad writing in GoT.

Arya's my favorite, but Tyrion is a close second.

I bought all the DVDs... I've binge watch it 4 or 5 times.

Hmm after the ending we  had for GoT not sure how well a spin off will do... I also do not have high hopes for the Vikings spin off which means they both could be really good.

That reminded me:

Isn't there supposed to be a Jon Snow (after GoT) spin-off as well?

A lot of potential there; I hope they don't waste it.

If the first scene of the first episode is Arya reuniting with her direwolf I'll forgive them anything else.
