UoT was the only worthy guest. He has left. Now it's Seamoron, Eddie the Chug and that retarded 360 wanker from Butthurt Fagtory who post as guests and all they do is shit up threads.
This aint a new discussion here either. It was wide open for a while under Fash and Kiebers and they were getting the same result. Fash banned Seamoron's IP and guest posts were put on mod approval. CW, Biggie Smiles, and I think Treasurer were given sub mod powers to approve or disapprove guest posts. It worked well.
None of the other forums have guest posting and I can see why they don't want it. The folks using the guest option don't contribute to discussions, they mess them up.
Guest posting as it works here just aint worth it. That is old Herman's two bits on the subject.

I love guest posting and think that you should have left it alone. Yeah, the guest's posts are annoying sometimes, but they weren't abusive in any way. I have guest-posted many times (hehe) and will miss it. That's just my opinion, tho :) Your site, your rulez :D
moderator approval means that guest posting is possible with moderator approval of said post

I think that banning Costa Ebola ip ranges would have been the preferable option
I mean, how many unique ip addresses could a backwards hovel that only recently discovered the wonders of fire have?
This is a good idea. Normally ip bans are pretty useless but in this case because of the location could be fairly effective.

I used guest posting too. However, I used it to troll the 2 thin-skinned social retards that made up the bulk of guest posts. With UoT MIA, guest posting offers nothing.

It is in place. I have used it. Should be in the mod panel if you have it turned on.
I could detail the steps but would need access to the admin panel in order to do that.

That's actually a good idea! its just as brilliant as Flat Earth.... i was skeptical at first because i never actually thought to question it.... while i still believe i live on a ball zooming through the galaxy at 1.3 million miles an hour, i appreciate the opportunity to step back and look at how ridiculous that actually is....
