Awwwww. I feel ya. My inlaws are tomorrow. FIL lost his wife nearly 2 years ago. Hes excited, he made the traditional stuffing patties his wife made, that he knows I love lol. He said he made one "mystery meat" hahaha. Last year it turned out to be gator. Was real good.
Today Im preparing the majority of the food for my Mom's side, and taking it all to my Aunt's house. We lost my lil sis last year.
Hopefully you dont have to work long today. I'll be workin' in the kitchen ac_dance
Ham, with pineapples and homemade glaze. Plus the mac n cheese and baked beans. Plus some Hawaiin rolls. Made fudge yesterday, 6lbs. Fell asleep after dinner, so I gotta get my lil ass in gear and make this pumpkin roll before the ham has to go in lol.
Hope you and all the Cashews have beautiful days ahead as well ac_drinks
¡Feliz Navidad, Erica!

Im so pissed. Opened the ham, its fucking slimy as fuck! Which means its bad. Suppose to be fully cooked, and ready to eat, but I wouldnt feed this shit to my cats!!! :mad:
Its the ham my work gave me a week ago, expire date is January 21st.
Luckily, my aunts friend has a ham to spare, and they are going to get it, and cook that. This still fucked up though.

My work normally gets me a butt portion, that aint cooked. Those you can see through the package. They cheaped out this year, and got me a spiral sliced, already cooked butt section. These are wrapped with shiny wrapping paper, under the mesh bag its in, so you cant see.
I saw the slime when I took the wrapping off. Opened it, and sure enough, slimy as hell.
I was wrong on expire date, its January 1st. Thats still a week away though. And I've had it for only a week, in the fridge, sealed.
I mean, this is suppose to be "ready to eat cold", but when you pry up the slices, slime oozes and drips between them :yuk:

Hmmm, I've never bought a cooked, sliced ham before Blazor.....I thought they might be like expired deli meat.
Mmmm, I had a piece of Japanese Meiji dark Christmas chocolate......it was so delicious.

Happy Christmas folks. I wish all of you plenty of barrel wash and weed tonight and tomorrow.

"14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me [f]is preferred before me, for He was before me.' "
16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him"
John 1:14-18
"Not the labor of my hands
Can fulfill Thy law's demands;
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears forever flow,
All for sin could not atone;
Thou must save, and Thou alone.
Nothing in my hand I bring,
Simply to Thy cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress;
Helpless look to Thee for grace;
Foul, I to the Fountain fly;
Wash me, Savior, or I die"

Geez, I wouldn't spend$400 USD ($550 Canadian) on a bike for my kid, Dove.
In fact...I wouldn't even spend that much on me....unless I was makin' a living from it like being a courier on DT streets.
(Some people actually make a livin' delivering food or mail.)
I'd actually have to justify my own expenditure on such an item.
More I spend, the more I'd better make off of it.
Most I'd spend on myself for a bike is about $100 Canadian for a recreational bike.
So much theft where I live in which case I wouldn't shed a tear if somethin happened to it or it got stolen, eh.

$400 for a nice bike is about right, they go for even higher. Think I spent $250 for my son's back in the day.

My Son, he was starting to get into electronics, and 2012 was approaching.... the Mayan end of the world thing lol. So THAT Christmas, no one got anything electronic. Everyone got survival shit lol. Even Santa brought my Son a survival box full of dehydrated meals, beef jerky and slim jims lololol. His big present that year was a .22 rifle. He has more guns than me now :laugh:

We could have gotten a cheaper bike but we want her to have one she can ride through the terrain here. We have paved roads yes....but also a lot of dirt ones and she likes cutting through woods a lot.
So we went for the pricier mountain bike. We bought it a while ago and kept it at a friends house because hiding a bike here would be impossible lol

Actually Blazor this year I splurged a bit on some software during Black Friday. Spent about $400 USD on graphics software which normally sells for thousand$ retail. But I plan to make a buck offa it if at all possible to justify its expenditure.
I kinda thought that sorta thing would interest you since youre working in the graphic arts industry.
humblebundle.com had some good discounts $30 on software that normally costs thousand$. Affinity serif software released a new version works like Adobe but costs only $100 for 3 apps - 1 time payment no subscription. Adobe charges way more.
Anyways everyone's got different needs. Depends what you want from a gift I suppose.

I always brought my bike inside. And if I had to leave it outside a store or something, ya gotta put a chain on that sum'bitch! lol
Right on man. Im good on software right now, but thanks ac_drinks
Adobe is expensive as fuck. I got mine, a $2000 package, for $600.

This mindset of having to make money from anything you buy is really weird.
My bicycle was in the $1000 range when I bought it a few years ago and so was my wife's. And we are casual cyclists. But when we cycle, we want to have good equipment. Hobbies and activities cost money.
You are so fixated on money and profit it is pathetic, Senile Joe.
You must be a miserable cocksucker the way you are always thinking about money, money, money and not about having fun.
You cheap faggot.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.
Except that Scrooge fucktard Joe. He is hopeless.
This Christmas was very tame compared to other years. Possibly cause everyone grown, and Im use to seeing the kids open tons of presents lol. Also possibly cause everyone broke.
I didnt get much, but I never expect much. Think my favorite gift this year came from a lady friend in my Sea Shanty group. Its a custom deck of cards, Lord of the Rings themed, that was funded on KickStart. She got herself a set too. Beautiful set of cards, never seen so nice a set. Im a graphic designer, and printer, and I know a lot of work was put into this set. 2nd fave gift was a box of ammo from my son lol. 3rd fave was a jar of shine lol. Its a cheap jar of shine, but its still a jar of shine, not as smooth as what I normally get.
I gave everyone a bunch of my homemade fudge this year. I made 9 pounds lol. My niece was especially happy, that she had a whole container to take back to Georgia.

A few years ago I was gifted a jar of s'mores-flavored shine and not being much of a drinker it's been collecting dust.
I did taste it when I got it though and damned if it's doesn't taste like a s'mores. LoL

I dont think it goes bad lol. I bet that Smores tastes awesome lol. The only way it might go bad, is if it has dairy in it. Needs to go in the fridge after opening if it does. I learned the hard way lol. Got one in Tennessee and wanted to try it while I was there at the hotel. Had dairy in it. It rode in the heat home, and at some point I went to drink it, and noticed the smell was off lol. Noticed THEN that it said refrigerate after opening. Didnt wanna toss it out, but didnt wanna drink it either lol. I got another my aunt gave me, Banana Pudding lol. I put it in the fridge after, and it still smells good.

I never even want anything. But....my in laws give us money every year. An amount that makes me uncomfortable.
My 17 year old and 6 year gave me a T Shirt that says "I'm Pro Life, change my mind" and some super soft PJs. Apparently my husband ordered something for me that hasnt even arrived yet and he wont just tell me what it is.
I havent seen my oldest yet. Her and her girlfriend went to SC to spend Christmas with her dad. They left this morning at 5am and are on their way back to MI. So...I'm sitting here worried about the snow.
The one present I got, is lost somewhere. My daughter bought me a really good straitening iron. FML

This jar doesn't have a label of any kind (I double-checked to make sure).
It's not clouding up or anything... still looks like a jar of water so I presume it's still good. One of these nights when people are doing the Discord thing I might have to open that bad boy up again. LoL

The highlights of the presents I got were a fancy dancy drying cloth for when I wash my cars/SUV, a power protection surge suppressor thing for the 30 amp hookup for my trailer, and a 25 foot 30 amp extension cable for my trailer.
The highlight of my giving was the cigar box amplifier that I gave my brother-in-law. I was worried that he would not be impressed with it because he is used to plugging into a couple of nice amps and this thing is tiny, not loud, and is as much a conversation piece as it is a piece of music equipment. But he seemed to really like it and played it for a bit and understood that this gives him a little portable battery-powered amp to take to spots and play where he usually would have no amp.

I have no proof, but I can kind of feel it, it's more of a passive aggressive issue here in Markham/Toronto. Chinese tends to be highly distrustful and Italians are quick to assume, and this crap I witness and deal with, over 95% of them are from Chinese and Italians. :laugh:

Most jews lean left politically and identify as liberal.
Leftist social politics, aka wokeism etc, are derived from jewish ideological movements started way back in the 1960's and earlier.
Have a read about "Cultural Marxism" and disregard the jewish howls about it being a conspiracy theory...
