To see a doctor privately in Canada as a foreigner costs minimally $100 Canadian or $70-75 us Erica. So perfectly legal. If you were contemplating it I'd phone around if I was you and make sure the physician handling the matter was certified to presribe it AND willing to do it. Maybe a female doctor at a woman's center sympathetic to your needs might be your best bet in Canada.

Ive noticed the best way to lose weight naturally is by eating a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables because it forces the dieter to shit a lot. Person has to shit a lot to lose weight
It isnt very glamorous but thats what a dieter needs to do to lose weight. Lau off the sweets,food additives alcohols and starch.
Really its so easy but most people dont have the discipline to stay on that diet and deprive themselves of junk food which is quite yummy.
Like Joe and Breakfall has mention, unless there's really no choice, usually medication would be the last resort on my list too. Had my fair share of side effects and struggle to taper off my psychiatric meds, which gives me extreme boredom, teeth grinding while sleeping and do nothing but eat more than double of what I require, then my brother's friend told me to try "keto" (no carb/sugar diet) or the diet Blaze has mentioned (which I think is even better than pure keto).
Every time I find a new video game to become addicted to my boredom goes away and lose weight again due to the distraction. Maybe all that is needed is a new hobby to enjoy and to keep the crave at bay.

I guess food is a bit of a drug to some. I only eat to regulate my weight and give myself fuel. I'll eat nuts and fruit every day and press a pressie in the morning and afternoon religiously.

I despise medication of any sort. I'm even reluctant to take a paracetamol to relieve a hangover.
