In this country, you can keep cash in the house but if the cops bust down your door and find over $5999, they can confiscate it. Its the same kind of jack booted shit you guys deal with.

Not different. In many US states, cash is seized during routine traffic stops under civil asset forfeiture laws, and the owner onus to prove it's legit often doesn't even matter. They target out of staters because that's police fun money for their conferences in exotic locations every year (aka free holidays) and the local legal systems drag intentionally drag their feet if not refuse to rule for the burglary victims who being out of state, just give up ever thinking they'll get their cash back..

It takes a special kind of amoral asshole to fill that role, not unlike that of telemarketers who are also in the business of selling the public unadulterated bullshit. First hand experience talking here, but you could infer it from Herman's OP. to whit: with so much of the MSM being controlled by so few, only those prepared to prostitute themselves at the altar of a media magnate and his financial interests would be welcome in their halls.



This is why dinosaur media needs to hurry up and die an ignominious death. A return to investigative journalism would be nice too, that is "actual journalism instead of state and corporate sponsored propaganda and propagenda". Additionally, those consuming such fare should be encouraged to weigh their reports first instead of dismissing them out of hand as "conspiracy theories", particularly where the reports are disseminating material which might be unpalatable to the consumer.



It's going to take a long time to return to that of course, but then it took us decades to get to the shit-show we are at now so it is to be expected.
