....that is everything which came before AI (Artificial Intelligence) will become my marker
Since I have no desire to adopt AI in my life I suppose I will be one of 'unfortunate few' who will not benefit from this new cyber revolution.
I've come to the conclusion that AI is inherently evil, and the further we go down that path, the closer we will march towards our own demise.
U believe that those pushing it are only interested in getting even wealthier at the expense of the many & subjegate humanity/societies for their own selfish personal gain. In fact, I'm surprise that there hasn't been a major revolt againt it yet. Perhaps in time there may be, but by then, it will probaby be too late when people also wake up too late.
So, call me a Luddite, but that's the way I've decided to lead the rest of my life.
To shut out AI as much as is possible
Any thoughts or criticisms of my approach?
A better use of your time would be to join a movement to violently overthrow your government.

I would support that.
Joe, your post reeks of the same stank that emanates from those who presently blame guns for all the mayhem and strife in America. AI is but a tool, the capacity for its misuse rests solely in the fuckwit who misuses it.
By all means, go ahead and put it down, it will only make you an easier target for those who pick up theirs.

A gun has no capability to learn. A gun will never have it's own self-created motives (or if you prefer reach a level of complexity so exceptional that no human can continue to understand why it is doing what it is doing). The technology is developing extremely rapidly with unpredictable consequences (where guns really haven't changed in terms of functional purpose in hundreds of years). Joe is an idiot and his boycott will achieve nothing, but the concern for the future is legitimate.

Learn? Anthropomorphising binary bits a bit much, aren't we?
Tell me, would you consider murder charges for someone deleting an AI off a hard drive?
