Today, the Western Canadian province of Alberta asked Albertans to reduce their electricity consumption as that province with it's heavy reliance on wind in certain areas reaches it's limits in times of higher usage.
Strangely eneough this was never a problem before a former socialist provincial government decommissioned their coal fired power plants. Today, gas powered plants keep the lights running while massive ugly wind turbines provide an expensive, but ineffective virtue signalling toy for the province's urban leftists.
An entire global fleet of electrical vehicles is nothing more than a pipe dream.
1. There isn't enough raw materials to transform the global fleet.
2. It would turn the entire planet into one giant tailings pond as every inch of the third world is ripped open for rare earth metals and poisoned to make people in developed countries feel smug about their environmental footprint.
3. How would the exponential increase in electricity demand be met? It would not be wind and solar because we do not have the raw materials necessary let alone the land for diffuse sources of energy.
4. One hundred percent of ICE batteries are recycled. That is not the case for electric car batteries. Where would the world get the land to dispose of massive toxic batteries? Ship them to third world countries?
5. The developing=developed country divide. The U.N. Children's Fund (UNICEF) reports that about 20 percent of cobalt supplied from the DRC comes from artisanal mines, "where human rights abuses have been reported, and up to 40,000 children work in extremely dangerous conditions in the mines for meagre income."
The U.N. also fears that cobalt-copper mines in DRC may contain sulphur minerals that contribute to Acid mine drainage (AMD), a phenomenon that causes pollution or contamination of surface water, thereby increasing the toxicity of rivers and drinking water.
Does anybody think developing countries will tolerate a hundred fold increase in deadly pollution and human rights abuses just because developed countries have foolishly mandated an electrical fleet.
I can go on, but I think this is a good start for now.

As I said in Shoutbox, if you want to talk about Trump(or Ron DeSantis) you should explain how either are germane to the discussion at hand. In this case we are talking about electricity pollcy and ev mandates. Since you brought up the Biden administration's abuse of power to block his main opponent and also school textbooks in Florida, please explain how either has any relevance to jacking up electricity costs with wind and solar subsidies or the unsustainability of electric vehicles? Perhaps I am not perceptive and missed the link. Here's your chance to educate us.
But I too applaud brother DKG's earnest and authentic efforts to drag a logical debate out of a rock spider like AIDsmin.
It's a noble effort, but sooner or later he'll get over this pipe dream and realize what we have all come to know about this fucking drooling primate. He, and the other idiots he consorts with are hopeless. Absolutely and unequivocally hopeless

First and foremost my dear friend.
Multi sylable words like sustainability, germane, electricity, discussion? etc etc? Out of the question.
This mewling Muppet can hardly process simple grunts and groans with any level of efficiency so words like those are only going to inspire violent, sudden and sustained bowel movements of the very milky variety followed up by three or four stupid memes which have no relevance whatsoever

I thought this was because of what dsm mentioned. Gremlin is entertaining himself. A self indulgence if you will. Kind of like Joe threads. But, he might break out and show he actually has an opinion or two.
Producing energy intensive batteries for electric cars invariably generates significant CO2 emissions. Electric cars have a huge carbon deficit when they hit the road, and will start saving emissions only after being driven 60,000 kilometers. That is without all the heavy metal poisons that seep into waterways from the mines where ev raw materials are extracted.

I read in a journal somewhere by an electrical engineer that showed how more therms of energy are used to generate electricity and transmit it to a charging station for a single EV charge then the therms expended extracting, transporting, refining and re-transporting 20 gallons of premium unleaded to fill the tank of an SUV.
... but the polar bears are dying, don't you know.

One conclusion that you will inevitably draw once you have interacted with enough of these mindless wombat koolaid drinking spazholes is that step one of their identity vaporizing process is to first strip them of any sense of self awareness and/or ability to feel shame.
It is a prerequisite in fact to becoming a liberal democrat in the first place.
This is of paramount importance to their DNC puppeteers that they neither have a conscience, a firm grip on reality or the ability to think for themselves. So things like shame, self reflection and emotional growth of any kind are strictly out of the question. Those things are strictly prohibited. As they are racist and have a systemic and overly negative impact to marginalized communities. They are orange man bad.
Take one perfect example of what I am talking about here. Murdock. There is no shame or sense of self awareness in that Buffalo Bimbo whatsoever. Not a single iota

am I lying here?
Otherwise, how does a rational person explain her continued insistence her own hotness and viability as some kind of "Sex kitten" -- oh god, I just puked a little in my own mouth
And there are literally thousands of other examples of this very same phenomenon to choose from ranging from the transtesticle boutique sexual fetish brigade where the belief is firmly held that men can click their heels three times and magically transport into complete womanhood; to the morons who will admit once pressed that the vaccine will not do a single thing besides ensure that you do not die from catching COVID while at the same time expressing outrage at the fact that you are hesitant to taking it. Because of course, despite the contradictions in their own statements and total separation from logic your refusal to increase the chances of your own survival somehow puts them at risk of something. But they never really explain what that something is.
So as you can see, This quality is vital to their continued allegiance to whatever brand of dogshit and failed narrative the DNC is pumping across the wire this week. IT is for this reason I can assure you with utter conviction that it will be impossible to shame gibbering retard fuckhead hollow headed tard losers like AIDSmin, Oak, Murdy and a few of those other mentally ill losers who have a next to zero grasp on reality.

He never will. Sadly, even the supposedly "green" states are slashing or eliminating the amount homeowners get for selling roof top solar to the grid. They really don't want people getting roof top solar and are getting rid of the financial reasons to do so. I got in, barely, on California's netmetering 2.0 (which was terrible compared to 1.0) but now they have passed 3.0 which slashes the amount of credit homeowners get by 80%.
more than likely, this gremlin fella has no opinions to offer.... unfortunately that goes for most liberals.... i think the complete lack of "personal accountability and opinion" is why it appeals to the mentally ill.... this gremlim fella seems even less "footed in reality" than casket and/or seamonkey.... thats pretty scary....

They did that in California too plus they want people to install new electric vehicle charging systems which allows the state to drain the battery of your car or home battery system without your permission. They claim it is "to protect the grid" but they don't want to pay market rate for it and they don't want you to have a choice about it.
I mean what if I don't want my hypothetical electric car battery to be drained because I know I need to use it? What if I paid for a home backup battery system for my house because I wanted to power MY house and not other people's houses? Why is there no credit for the battery degradation repeated charges and deep discharges do to battery packs? Why don't I get market rate for the electricity I would be supplying? Add in that the problem was 100% to do with left wing politicians shutting down cheap and reliable power for their unscientific cult and you see why I oppose this despite understanding I need solar (and possibly a home backup battery or two) simply to escape the sky high continuous rate hikes those politicians are forcing onto everyone.
Shit, these communists are now in the process of passing a law so that scrubs (read welfare sucking Democrat voters who refuse to work) won't have to pay for electricity but everyone else has to pay much higher rates. The rate per kwh keeps going up the more income you make too. So if you use the same key as someone else he might pay nothing despite using far more total kwh while you pay 10 times the previous rate because "you have a good paying job so fuck you".
It just pisses me off because I don't have a good paying job because of some mythical "white privilege" (BTW Asians are now white according to the Democraps) but because I made sure to qualify myself for a good paying job, actually did a good job, showed up on time, excelled at it because I wanted to build a good career and to have a good reputation in my industry. Hell, my parents didn't give me a cent for college, I got good grades, applied for scholarships, held a part time job, and even joined the Army Reserve so that I was able to graduate with less than $10,000 in loan debt. I paid that off in less than two years by living very far below my means, driving the same old paid off car for years and years, and basically saving everything possible.
That was also how I bought my first home in my 20's. So many other people were buying luxury cars, making fun of my old Toyota, going out to bars/eating out daily, while I deliberately stayed loving like a broke college student to save cash. The reward? I bought a house, rented out my spare rooms, and it was the "friends" who bought fancy cars and made fun of my old car who paid my mortgage via the rooms I rented to them.

Democrats do not value such accomplishments because they demonstrate clearly the ability of the person to think for themselves and go against the grain.
it's that simple.
Reward the borg mentality so that they can end up with a pliable voting base that
HAS the borg mentality
Best shielding from this infectious insanity is to seek temporary refuge in a state which still values such qualities. And I say temporary because the whole country is circling the drain right about now with Red states only comprising the tail end of the loaf.
Either we take this country back by any means necessary or we enjoy life in the American sewer system democrats are creating.

We are playing a risky game with electricity. Electricity generation must be an all of the above approach. Barack Obama used to support that sensible approach.
Electric autos cannot be a forced transition. If a transition does take place, it must be market forces. Similar to the transition to flat screen televisions.
If we could convince Aidsfaggit that electricity tasted like cawk, he'd take 1.21 jigawats through the asshole and mouth simultaneously. FACT!
