Once again, AOC has shown she is so ignorant of facts.
At a House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources hearing on the Biden administration's "mismanagement of the federal onshore oil and gas program," Ocasio-Cortez claimed that nearly one-quarter of U.S. "carbon pollution" comes from oil and gas drilling on federal lands.
"As it stands, nearly a quarter of the United States' current carbon pollution comes from fossil fuel production on federal lands and waters," she claimed.
But according to Kathleen Sgamma, president of the Western Energy Alliance, the New York Democrat is wrong.
Not only did Sgamma open her testimony by calling out Ocasio-Cortez for her "complete falsehood," but with data in hand, Sgamma corrected the record.
"I just want to start off by correcting something the ranking member said in her opening statement. She claimed that oil and gas production on federal lands is responsible for about a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions," Sgamma said.
"That's based on a misreading of a USGS study of greenhouse gas emissions," she explained. "And if you actually look at the numbers, production on federal lands and waters accounts for 0.6% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions — not 'nearly a quarter.' Even the Interior Department stopped using that number after I simply pointed out the numbers from the USGS report."
Democrats often claim that a sizable chunk of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions come from drilling on federal lands to justify their push to end drilling on federal lands.
But it's simply not true. What is true, according to the USGS report cited at the hearing, is that "emissions from fossil fuels produced on Federal lands represent, on average, 23.7% of national emissions." But that doesn't mean drilling on federal lands is responsible for those emissions.
In fact, as Sgamma explained, the extraction of fossil fuels on federal lands accounts for a minuscule amount — 0.6% — of greenhouse gas emissions.
So where does the difference come from? As the Western Energy Alliance explains, the "vast majority" of emissions related to fossil fuels extracted from federal lands "comes from the end-use combustion of fossil fuels, not from the extraction."
It's the entire life cycle of those fuels, then — from extraction to combustion at their end point — that accounts for anything near what Ocasio-Cortez claimed.

"No solutions here. No ideas here. But Democrats, we're authorizing 500,000 work permits so people can get on their feet and support themselves," said Ocasio-Cortez in the video she posted. "Democrats, we're proposing comprehensive immigration reform."
While the clip does indeed show her interlocutor being stumped by questions about immigration, Ocasio-Cortez incorrectly identified her as a Republican, when Jaime Williams is a Democrat member of the New York State Assembly.
Ocasio-Cortez was mocked and ridiculed over the misleading video.
"The person AOC is lecturing in this clip is not even a Republican. She is NY Assembly Member Jaime Williams, a Democrat from Brooklyn... Williams was objecting to spending $27 million of taxpayer money to house 2,000+ illegal migrants in her district. But go off clown," read one response.

The migrant crisis has worsened precipitously since President Joe Biden took up residence in the Oval Office. Despite the mayor of New York City saying migrants will destroy the city, Ocasio-Cortez has tried to downplay the crisis to her followers on social media.

Riley Gaines shut down AOC on Thursday for pretending to defend women.
During the second Republican primary debate on Wednesday, AOC criticized Chris Christie for attacking President Joe Biden's defense of teachers' unions. Jim Crow Joe, Christie said, is "sleeping with a member of the teachers' union." The comment mirrors what Jim Crow Joe himself said two years ago.
Still, the remark was fodder for an Ocasio-Cortz attack.
"It's disgusting, misogynistic, and if Republicans want to continue pissing off an entire nation of women, please be my guest," she responded. "We'll see you at the ballot box."
Gaines, a fierce defender of women and fairness in athletics, took exception to Ocasio-Cortez's assertion that she is a true defender of women.
How can that be, Gaines wondered, when Ocasio-Cortez voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act and supports editing Title IX to allow biological men who identify as trans women to compete in women's sports?

Then in February 2020 when the Tara Reade allegations came out, AOC had a sudden change of heart. Seems that certain people deserved to be given the benefit of the doubt after all.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York accused the Trump administration of "destroying" health care for millions of Americans over the federal funds freeze.
President Donald Trump issued a temporary federal funds freeze on tens of billions of dollars in order to allow a government audit to ensure funds aren't going to efforts banned by his executive orders. The order specifically excludes payments to Medicaid, but Democrats spread reports that those were being denied.
Ocasio-Cortez pounced on the reports to accuse the Trump administration of destroying health care for millions of Americans.
The White House released a statement saying there was an outage in the payment system and that it would be restored soon.
"The White House is aware of the Medicaid website portal outage," said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. "We have confirmed no payments have been affected — they are still being processed and sent. We expect the portal will be back online shortly."
The memo had argued that Trump had a mandate from the presidential election to audit government spending and end the funding of left-wing policies implemented by the previous administration.
"The use of federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and Green New Deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve," read the memo. "This memorandum requires federal agencies to identify and review all federal financial assistance programs and supporting activities consistent with the president's policies and requirements."
Other Democrats and activists started repeating the notion that there was a "constitutional crisis" over the federal funds freeze and the Medicare outage.
AOC and Tulsi have this in common:
