You raise minimum wage too much, too fast and you get eighteen dollar Big Macs and automation.

My smallish regional city is getting it's 1st 7/11 soon.

Can't wait for all these overcharging  coffee shops to get bent over by cheap 7/11 coffee.

Fucking 8 bucks for long black?... nah bitch, 2 bucks at 7/11... suck mah dick.

They should sue McDonalds for false advertising. What they pass off as a Big Mac these days is a tiny little thing no more than four inches in diameter. They should call it a Mini Mac or something more appropriate.

18,63 euro minimum wage.

That is an outrageous sum.

We get a lot less but we also have free stuff that makes up for it.

they should call it a wafer mac. Each patty is no bigger than a silver dollar these days

Fuck if I'd even pay 5 bucks for a big mac let alone 18

7/11 "coffee" is fucking revolting. So is Starbucks. They had a Starbucks in Ottawa's Little Italy, the only people that went there were Carleton U students. Everyone else got their coffee from the mom and pop stores elsewhere on Preston Street.

And this was after Truedeaup raised the minimum wage to $15 dollars.

McDonalds is either lying their asses off or the REAL problem is the State of California is raping them. $20/hr is NOT why a Big Mac meal costs $18.

I have in my hand right now, a receipt from In-N-Out Burger on Tropicana Ave dated 10-12-2023, Las Vegas Nv. I ordered 2 double doubles @$5.10 each, a Lrg Pink Lemonade @ $2.30, and a lrg shake @$3.65. Total with tax was $17.50. 2 orders of fries wouldnt have doubled that. So you ask, "yea, what does In-N-Out pay?" https://www.in-n-out.com/locations/?q=Las%20Vegas%20NV  $17/hr

For the record, I'd fukin pay $18 for a double double, fries, and drink. I wouldnt pay $10 for a big mac meal.

7/11 coffee (no additives) is nearly identical in quality to barista made plus a fuck tonne cheaper That's been the case in Melbourne. I doubt it would be any different in NSW.

It's still revotling. I have to be really desperate for a pick me up to buy that kind of shit, I'm better off carrying a tin of International Rust and finding an autoboil, quite frankly.

I've enjoyed proper Italian brewed coffee. Jamaican too, if it comes to that. I would pay for that privilege again.

Instant coffee is not better than freshly ground and pressurised hot water barista units at 7/11.

Maybe they only have drip at the ones you've frequented.

Sure... sometimes I walk in, look at the sanitary state of these auto bean grinding barista type machines and say "fuck nooooo..."

But most of the time, they're clean and serving up any dose of fresh ground coffee you could desire for a quarter of the so called coffee shops.

Leftists are stupid people and cannot see how polices such as these serve to Make these corporations MORE money

Assuming an average location grossing a modest 4,000,000 annually with 10 employees on the clock at any given time operating at an 18 hour day.

a spike of 4 dollars an hour in employee wages equates to roughly 5,000.00 a week. Using this to justify a 30% hike in prices yields an additional 23,000.00 a week in revenue which in turn is an additional 18,000.00 in profit

per week.

Drop that profit margin down to 10,000.00 if you factor in a very strong decline in sales due to outrage.

Anyone want to take a guess why large corporations always vote/support democrats? You really think the executives of these franchises and Ole Gavin Neusum haven't already hashed all this out on a golf course or far away retreat already?

You're being played. You the consumer and you the employee who is also a consumer.

its a game of pitch and catch. A harlem hustle and the average idiot on the left cant even see it.

If I'm wrong. Show me 10Ks for all the major bigs like walmart, amazon, etc etc who lost money during any of the financial quarter in the COVIDF era

Hell, show me any of these companies that didn't increase profits by at least 10% during any of these time frames

In Canadian provinces Walmart and Canadian Tire never closed for even one day. It was little indy shops that sell the same products as both of those chains that were forced to close.

It was libtards who feign caring for small business that destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of proprietors across Canada. Those fucking evil hypotwats.

There is a myth that employers, of all sized enterprises are vehemently opposed to paying high wages. That is a misnomer. Wages track productivity. All employers want higher productivity.

Maybe they were using rabbit droppings for coffee beans. I've always understood convenience stores like to get the cheapest, shitiest stock to placate the wanker class that patronize them.

Doesn't surprise me to hear Canadian Tire never shuttered you know. When I heard the "essential businesses" that were allowed to remain trading included the LCBO and weed shops, I knew President Blackface was pulling a fast one.

Especially as he had also suspended fare collection on the public transit system and was letting people ride it for free.

You can get complete meals for less than what you pay for a Macdonald's meal where I live.

And they are more nutritious.
