...is it that bad where you live Americanos?
Have any of you witnessed incidents of mass thefts?
Canada has a few cities like that but most aren't that bad.
One city not far from where I live is like that.
It's called Surrey

One morning driving to work I stopped at my usual Circle K for coffee. Just as I was getting out of the car three guys (looked like illegals) came bursting out the door carrying about 15 cases of beer running like mad and laughing their heads off. They ran off down an alley and disappeared.
The clerk said "Yeah happens all the time" and just kind of shrugged it off.
The Circle K closed up a couple months later and it's a tire store now.

Maybe this will lead to a boom in 3D fake digital displays - aka Holograms. Especially in the States where theft is a problem in major urban centers
You kin see it, put yer hand through it, but can't touch it.
And so maybe they'll have these vending machines where the shopper just presses some buttons, selects what they want and it just spits them out of the chute once it's been paid for.
I could see where one day they'll have aisles of these displays.

The punishment for shoplifting in SG can be a fine, imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or both. There will be punishment though.

I actually met a White policeman in California who was beaten up so badly in a Black neighborhood that he was disabled for life.
He was collecting disability quite obviously
