Title: Any suggestions about robot vacuum and mop combos?
Post by: Oerdin on September 29, 2024, 03:29:47 PM
I have to admit I really like the reviews of the Dreame X40 Ultra but I find the $1700 price tag to be a bit much.

I see some vacuum only models for as little as $300 and everything between $300 to $1700.  I am wondering where the sweet spot is?  I don't need a top of the live model as that seems like a waste of money. The feature options are pretty long and difficult to really figure out what you need and don't need.

Does anyone have a robo vac?

I have heard good things about this one.  Several reviews claim it is the best budget model.

This seems to be a good breakdown on features and comparing models.  Plus the review is only a week old

Roborock Qrevo Master seems to be the one to buy.  Currently it is available for $1199.99 on the Robotock website but I will wait and see if Amazon has a sale on Amazon Days October 8th and 9th.  If not I will still buy but I am hoping for a discount.

I decided on that one due to excellent reviews, superior path finding, better cleaning ability, and the fact that it does both vacuuming as well as mopping.  Which is important because my house has both tile floors and carpeting in rooms.

I have a condo and no kids. I have no need of a product like that.

This one looks pretty good.  It is only like #10 on the list of best robot vacuums but now on sale for just $380.  That sounds like a bargain.

It wasn't cheap but last month it was $1599.99.  So it was a good sale at $929.99.

Geez, what is the justification for the ridiculous pricing?  Seems like a slight rip off to me.

There are a lot of robot vacuums in that price range.  This one vacuums, mops, has an extendable arm to get corners, plus an advanced mapping and object avoidance AI.

The cat is fascinated by the robo vacuum and spends a lot of time watching it and following it around.

The docking station is a must have item because it is nice to let the robot empty it's dust bin, empty  the dirty mop water, and fill up on clean mop water.  So far my only complaint is pet hair can get clogged into were the vacuum store the dust and crap that it sucked up.

The price would be all I care about.  Lawn servicing is a good and steady gig down there cause the shit grows all year round.  Up here the grass goes dormant for 6 months.

Would love to be a school aged kid in the US with a ride on and push mower right now.

Name your price.

Fucking Aye!  Most of the landscapers around here are all traditional Beaners (i.e. Illegal Mexicans, many of them here for decades.)  Enterprising young guys could and definitely will be filling the market void once Tom Homan gets down to the Beaners that have been here for years.  He will.

It will become politically dicey at a certain point. Many illegal Beaners are intertwined in areas where illegal Beaners have been around for years and years. Take me, for instance.  My Brother-in-Law was an illegal Beaner when he first came here.  I got half Mexican nieces and nephews.  Almost the entire village my illegal Beaner Brother-in-Law was born in is living here now and have for decades.  Most of them are still illegal.  Some of them are like schlepp to schlepp pseudo cousins to my kids.

My position is that ALL illegals must be removed.  They can come back, and I would think that many like the schlepp side of my family will return.  But they have to stand in line and do it legally.

Period.

That would cost about 300-350 bucks USD here.

I've employed the same guy since 2010.  The only times he has charged me extra was when I had a mature palm tree removed and when I had him replace the old sprinkler valves with an automated system.

Oh... that's more here.

It requires a licensed arborist, council permission and fees, and a licensed plumber also with insurance.

Fucking Aussies!  These "councils" sound draconian.  I'd say fuck them and fix my own damned sprinklers myself.  I don't need no fucking permission from no stinking council.
