The democrats have had ample opportunities to do that including a window of supermajorities in congress with Obummer (who promised to make it happen immediately if he got elected but once installed in the big chair switched to saying "it wasn't a priority").

Most of the stuff Kopmala is saying she'll do won't be possible without congress and the democrats are counting on that so they can, as always, blame republicans or the parliamentarian or some other rotating villain (Manchin or Sinema, usually, but now it'll probably be someone like John Fetterman) when it fails.

It's far too valuable as a campaigning and fund-raising gimmick.

The polling data gathered thus far is conflicting & inconclusive.

There's too much bias on either side & the polling agencies tend to favor the candidates they're rooting for.

I wouldn't trust US polls with a Democrat or Republican bias.

Maybe the BBC, The Economist or some foreign news agency might be a better bet?
