He is in Europe laying the ground work for the next election that will be fought on climate change action, much to the chagrin of the Conservatives.
No, Carney is not preparing Canada for any level of association with the EU. He is setting himself up to fight and win the next election by going a lot further than Trudeau did at keeping Canada's resource wealth landlocked and reliant on the US market.
Mark Carney is in complete agreement with EU President Ursula Von Leyden on Net Zero. This is why he went there and not meet with Trump.
This is from the EU website:
We will prioritize the following:
1. Foster international cooperation and collective action to promote trade and trade policies that pursue climate action across the WTO and relevant multilateral, plurilateral, regional and sectoral initiatives.
2.Identify ways to ensure the multilateral trading system contributes to the global response to climate change and promotes a positive contribution to the climate agenda, including through focused attention across sectors on the nexus between climate and trade.
What does Mark Carney believe. Let's go to his website:
help make Canadian companies more competitive so that Canada can leapfrog the United States in international markets; and introduce trade measures to ensure fairness for Canadian industries in the global economy to ally with those countries engaged in the fight against climate change.
Now I take you to CBC's website:
He also said that he would work with other like-minded countries to introduce a carbon border adjustment, effectively a tariff, that would ensure countries with weaker climate change policies face financial barriers when they try to export products to Canada.
Why did Mark Carney go to Europe and not America? Because he is going to come back with a trade agreement with Europe and wave it Pierre Polivere's face and say what's your climate plan.
I signed a trade deal with the EU that while doesn't increase exports that makes us less reliant on America because they don't deal with carbon border adjustments. Anything that comes into Canada is going to get a tariff on it because it doesn't live up to Canada and the EU's policy when it comes to climate change.
F&ck Donald Trump, F&ck the United States, we are dealing with the European Union.
They have been working on this for weeks.
What is Pierre Polivere's plan. Sell Canada's oil and natural gas all over the world. Mark Carney's plan is to completely eliminate oil and gas, screw the West and set Canada up for separation.
While Canadians will vote Liberal to save Canada from America and Donald Trump, Canadians need to be saved from Mark Carney and the Liberal Party. They are laying the groundwork for the breakup of Canada.
After he gets this deal, he will call an election soon. He does not want people to know who he is. If they know about him, what he believes and his shady past, they will not vote for him. He has to act fast to win and he will act fast and win.

Jesus H, he is a crafty elitist prog.
This is making US statehood look a lot more enticing. If Carnage wins, the ball is in the US court. Make us an offer we cannot refuse.

It will not end well for the Canadian economy or national unity.

I didn't know his plan to get there but I know Carney times will be hard times for people back in Canada. They would have my sympathies but they keep voting for Liberal party extremism, so fuck em.

I have been telling mates and colleagues here in Singapore that since the Liberals are on the verge of winning again with an even more globalist leader than True Dope, this could be the last Canadian election with it's current borders.
Bring on the coming disaster. It would only make Trump look like a greater genius.

I knew the Liberal Party machine had something up their sleeve. This is very plausible.
Mark Carney made a huge blunder yesterday in response to Polivere's announcement that he will kill all carbon taxes including the international industrial one that would decimate Canada's energy, steel and aluminum industries.
Carney said he is willing to sacrifice trade with Canada's largest trading partner by a long shot for the next four years. Potentially up to twelve years if JD Vance wins the elections in 2028 and 2032.
The amount of trade Canada does with the EU is miniscule compared to Canada's trade with America. And Carney is willing to give up on all that trade and jobs for at least four years.
Carney does not want to talk to Trump in the short term. He does not want trade differences with Trump resolved in the short term because it helps him in the polls.
If Carney's industrial carbon tax is in place, Canada faces dire repercussions. It will strangle Canada's biggest private employers. It will cost consumers more money.
Who is the biggest threats to Canada? Is it Donald Trump? Is it China? No, it is Mark Carney.

They are overwhelmingly leftist. I know it's a stereotype, but it is also true and the polls prove that.
