Title: US Economy experiences Negative Growth in the 1st Quarter of 2025
Post by: JOE on May 01, 2025, 09:05:19 PM
Report came in that the US GDP shrank in the 1st quarter by -0.3%

It's an early indication that the 2nd quarter should see more negative growth which would mark the beginning of a recession in the United States. This should put downward pressure on the economy which will accelerate in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2025.

And this in turn should cause the stock markets to decline further.

However, this does not necessarily mean a crash, but it does seem to indicate at very least a market correction later this year, no later than October/November 2025.

Reason I posted the OP avatar_Biggie Smiles Bigly, is ta track the progress of the Stock Market.

According to this data, the United States which is the largest economy of the world, should sink into a recession by June 2025. But it won't become official until later July/August 2025 when the data for the 2nd quarter is released. This should send the stock indices lower this year.

So if yer already invested, it's not great news.

However for those like myself who are not yet invested, it's an opportunity eh?

What do you think Bigly?

I say the markets will correct by 20% by this October.

It's just my guess but for new investors into that market right, it doesn't look NOW is a good time to invest.

Maybe later this year when it corrects or possibly crashes, but now now, eh?

Or maybe next year... or maybe the year after that... or the year after that...

You're not investing, you're procrastinating. Ante up already because all you're doing is sitting at the poker table watching everyone else play.
