There has always been poverty, homelessness often cause by drug use. Ten years of inept Liberal rule and continuing has made our cities reflect those in the developing world.

Toronto is a dirty, dangerous place. It looks like the image of Vancouver posted with a lot more gun deaths.

Sounds like the entire left coast needs to band together as a new country!

Ironically all Trump's threats about annexation have forced Canada to up its game & become more competitive.

Hopefully it'll lead to some social improvements as well.

Angeldrawers, remember what I told you yesterday after we had sex about derailing discussions. You don't want to lose your allowance do you.

The amount of human waste is so high downtown Vancouver that residents have had to resort to taking matters into their own hands.

Although there are gov programs that clean the streets, residents say the programs can't keep up with the amount of human waste.

One resident said she and her partner were part of the "adopt a block" program wherein you pledge to clean one block once a month. However she and her partner have decided to volunteer off hours too, just to keep up with the needed amount of cleaning.

A lot of the blame for human waste/defecation problems rests with an inept Vancouver city council that refuses to build more public toilets.

Then they wonder why the streets are filled with poop.

They spend so much goddam money on fucking bike lanes that hardly anyone uses.

Plus they grease the palms of their contractor friends for city streets they never fix so there is no money left to fix the obvious.

By the way this isnt just a problem with homeless people. Even tourists have long complained about the lack of facilities. And these are monied people.

Our city hall spends/wastes tax  money on the stupidest things and they don't take care of basics like public toilets.

Vancouver is a very corrupt city with plenty of money that is wasted and goes to the wrong people
