I looked it up. The combined maximum contribution for employer and employee is now $8,068 per year or $4,034 each. That is $363,000 in forty five years of working.
It's not a very good return considering the average payout is only $9700 per year.

The money you get back from CPP is a joke. Singapore's pension system is privatized and so much better than Canada or the US.
However, despite the embarrassingly low return from CPP at least it will be around in 30 years. US Social Security is close to insolvency.
