Makes the daily commute on the Henday look like a walk in the park eh handsome? Vancouver is bad, but the 401 in Toronto is why road rage exists. Calgary is getting really bad too.
How long are you staying on the left coast?
Traffic crazy everywhere, I moved to the outskirts of a small town 18 years ago and the traffic has quadrupled!

I prefer to cab it in Vancouver when I can.
Oh gawd some cab drivers drive like crazy! I had one driving my daughter and I home from the hospital after she had an endoscopy and the idiot drove like a mad man. I told him to take it easy because she had meds in her and felt queezy, but did he listen? Noooo! She puked all over the floor in the back seat. Fn a hole pulled into a gas station and made me clean it up before driving again and he kept driving the same crazy way! I was pissed!

I would have told him not a fucking chance. You told him to slow down, he didn't so he gets to keep his reward. He fucking earned it.
I wanted to tell him to shove it up his ass but at that time I had a cab voucher and I wasn't "allowed" transfer to take another cab. Fn a hole put our lives in danger.

I would've called his dispatcher Annie. Don't take that shit from anyone.

A lot different from having to pass a tractor on a lonely Dog River dirt road, eh? I figured you would enjoy all those cars on the road guzzling gas. Cyclists and bus riders are losers!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here! Get out and see some left wet west coast nature!
Oh I did Shen but the boss at the time was a real a hole as well acc_angry He didn't give a crap.

He was told your daughter had a medical need not to speed. Did he listen? No, so he can clean up the fucking mess he caused. He's fucking lucky he didn't have the Iron Ch!nk in the cab with you and your daughter.

Not cool! I stopped taking cabs here years ago. They only care about making the quick buck. I've walked an hour or two many times to get home just because cabs are so expensive and they suck.
Not necessarily all the cabbies fault though. They're so pressured to make the quick buck.

I'm sorry, I was being sarcastic towards Obvious Li and having a joke. I've ridden the bus plenty! I actually prefer it over driving and cabs. I've depended on transit most of my life.

I had a car for a while. Hated it. Loved the road trips, but hated the traffic, road rage, people almost getting me killed even though I was a good driver, maintenance, insurance...
I miss the road trips, but for a single guy living and working in downtown Vancouver it's unnecessary and too costly for me. Obvious Li gave a good example of why city folk should just chillax.
Nope I can't drive anymore, been a few years, I have a depth perception problem and now cataracts also some other shit like muscles spasms soooo hitting the gas pedal at the right time with a spasm might not be too good lol

It's not even close to being an option for us. Four vehicles at my house including mom's car.
We just sold our car, but son and his gf have cars so we know we can always call them for rides muahaha

I understand that it's entirely different for a family. Public transit etc. isn't a realistic option in many cases. Too much stuff and too many places to go.
Exactly Romero, and many people live within a bus route or sky train and if you live right in town almost everything you need to shop for is in walking distance. Not having a car can also be beneficial in health wise, you do more walking :)

I took the LRT when I was in my first year at U of A. I travel all over the place for work. No LRT to the places I have to go to.
It's great to walk and shop in town, and it's great to take a big pickup truck out to the oil patch.
Nothing wrong with that! That's our Canada!

thanks homy....I am enjoying the green grass for sure......on the commute yesterday, I also happened to tap some overweight 20 something east indian chick from behind while I was stuck in traffic texting.......she cut in front of me ???....she got out of her car holding her neck and limping....she wanted to exchange info but there was no damage so I said no need for that and I wasn't going to stand out in the fucking rain like an idiot for nothing....she got a bit huffy and we had words (shall we say)...I felt a little better after that....she got my plate number but BFD

In my journey's last volume, I drove a great deal and enjoyed it very much. I am an excellent driver, careful, never resorted to road rage. I enjoyed immensely the many road trips around this great land. There were road trips to visit family and friends, hockey tournaments, skills training and development camps. In this new volume's refashioning, I am in a planned community where I do all my shopping and business so I do walk more and I like the reliability of the public transit systems. No more car for me but will rent one when a need arises.

I live in an area of Edmonton that would be prolly similar to where you live. Banks, shopping, dental/doctor offices nearby. However, when I say nearby I mean 2-4 kms. You COULD walk it, but it's no fun when it's -20.

Our road trips are generally confined to South Eastern British Columbia in the summer..
We did drive to Manitoba last year though..
Driving in an rv is relaxing although expensive for gasoline.
