Title: Thanks to folks like Thiel I'm Officially Retired Now
Post by: Joe. on October 09, 2025, 10:17:46 PM
Received my allowance from Thiel the other day. Not sure if I entirely deserve it, but he gave it to me anyway.

The odd thing is, I don't even feel like I'm retired at all. I feel like I've never worked a day in my seventy five years.

Actually I fergot ta thank you too avatar_Shen Li Shen.

After all you worked in the freezing cold in Canada's Arctic all these years & are still bitter n scarred by those experiences. I know how you hate White People since they slighted n taunted you all those years. Oh how you musta suffered bein a slant eyed woman in a White Man's Country.

Plus you paid inta CPP/OAS but won't be gittin much back since you've moved abroad & will be renouncing your Canadian citizenship.

Anyway I better thank avatar_Herman Herman's son too since he'll be working at least another 30 years ta support me.

The way I look at it I'll be getting everything free from now in.

It'll be like getting pogie fer life.

What will Joe do now that he is completely dependent on Thiel for his daily necessities? He will have more time to beg for attention on forums.

Retire from what Sugarplum? Glued to the chair in my office all day and posting on forums?

It looks like you love your work to much to retire. That's fine. Just don't spend all your allowance on Disney toys. You still need to set some money aside for lube.

SSI should have shit tons of money but it doesnt, partially because we allow people who never paid into it collect it and the government repurposes the rest for the general fund and writes an IOU to SSI. I'll pay close to $10K into it this year and if I die before I retire, my family will get $250. Now a shitload of people pay in and get nothing in return because they die before collecting. How the fuck is SSI not flush with cash you say? See my initial explanation.
Obamacare is a scam to take money from people with decent healthcare plans, tax them on their bennies, and then prop up the IOU's for SSI. The problem is, the Head Nigger In Charge and Company thought they were gonna hook everyone so they could gang rape all the money but that didnt happen.

If it were up to me, I would eliminate SSI and government health care. We cant do that though until we strip these fucking women of their ability to vote. That was the ruin of the USA.

I started collecting an annual pension of $66 grand last year when I turned fifty five. That is not including my $1400 tax free annual health spending account. My house is paid for plus I have loads in RRSP's I could turn into a RIF for more monthly income at any time.

It is sad that some people have to retire broke like Joe and rely on government handouts. It is not even enough to pay rent on a one bedroom apartment in the hood.

He should be getting down on his knees and thanking God for Thiel. Otherwise Joe would be another homeless senior.

Oh well

Well, be grateful to people like my Grandfather who was a member off the CCF (the forerunner of the NDP) & folks like JS Woodsworth/Tommy Douglas.

They fought for working people on the prairies in provinces such as Manitoba.

You think you did all by your little self, but you didn't avatar_Brent Brent.

Others who came before you fought hard so YOU could have a better life.

Albert Einstein had a saying, "I stand on the Shoulders of Giants."

Well...you as a former railroad worker stand on the shoulders of railroad workers who sacrificed for you.

And there's another think I wanted to add....You trash this country Canada so hard when it's done so much for YOU.

You said you had a drinking problem. Well...quite obviously the treatment or the agencies they funded helped straighten out your life, Brent. And that funding came from the Canadian taxpayer and our generous Social system.

If you'd lived in the US, they're a lot less kind, less merciful and forgiving.

But you wouldn't know, because you've never lived there. I have. So I know.

You've been coddled in Canada so you could get back on your feet.

If you subscribe to 'Survival of the Fittest', you certainly are not one of its best specimens I'm afraid.

That society runs on the motto "Only the Strong Survive".

But you don't seem that strong ta me.

You should donate your OAS or your CPP to charity when you are old enough to collect them. You will get a good chunk back on your income taxes. That is what I am going to do.

Like you said, it is a pittance for most of us, but a lot of money to broke as fuck bums like old Joe.

OAS and CPP means living in a rooming house and sharing a toilet and shower with ten other people.
