When I was in uni, Edmonton Transit was no fare, no ride, no exceptions. Now back in that leftist hole they don't enforce fares. And with Ottawa supplying hard drugs for free the buses and the LRT are travelling homeless shelters. However, unlike homeless shelters, the transit system allows open drug use and using buses and LRT cars as toilets.

15 years ago the subways were death traps. A totally miserable experience to be mild about it . I tried to avoid them at all costs whenever I could.
