People in desperate need do need the help, but there are too many who are just lazy.
America needs to have a time limit on how long one can stay on welfare and section 8. Its not a permanent solution, its temporary so one can a job and get back on their feet.

Section 8 is a government housing assistance program. They are buildings specificity to house the poor and mostly lazy people.

Back in NYC I was an exterminator for a brief time back when I was 18 through 21. I used to go to houses that were provided to section 8 recipients. Many times these were Full 4 bedroom house with a fully finished basement. The usual recipient was a baby factory, a girlfriend who's hustle was to spit out babies and apply for all the government goodies multiplied by each new crotch rocket she sprung into the world. After recieving the entire gamut of gov handouts She'd rent out the basement and one or two of the rooms for market value. Cash only of course. The father would be out there working an off the books job.
Combined with the fact that they were not paying rent, having their food, electric and other essentials subsidized or outright paid for by the state AND the income from the rentals AND off the books job these people were doing far better than the working middle class in the same area.
and I mean FAR BETTER.
As a young working man I'd pull up to the driveway in my dodge Aries with the gasoline spitting out of the radio to see a brand new Escalade and/or BMW parked and these welfare bunnies wearing 200.00 sneakers and whut not.
And these people want me to feel sorry when that type of bullshit is going on? While at the same time I could ride any NYC subway and witness at least one homeless veteran who gave their all to defend this country begging for change and being summarily ignored like he was a fresh pile of shit laid by some stray dog?
fuck these people. Starve in the fucking streets for all I care.
