Title: Washable Keyboard
Post by: Annie on March 13, 2015, 02:41:47 AM
My keyboard was all sticky from the other night when I spilled an entire beer on it. Many of the keys were super sticky. I was going to buy another one but then I remembered it said it was washable! I flipped it over and followed the instructions. A warm sink with dish soap for a couple minutes and then I shook it dry and viola! It's like a brand new keyboard!! Woohoo! ac_dance

Hold on lemme check.....nope nothing extra, yet! I did have a thought when I was plugging it back into my computer though....like if there would be spark or a short or I'd get fried or it would smoke but nope! The manufacturer's word stood up to what they said! And I only paid like 15 bucks for the thing. It's the best keyboard I've ever had. Funny how some things so cheap and easy can sometimes be the best  ac_dance

Oh I know but I'm finding that when I had just a regular keyboard I'd get everything from crumbs to drinks on and in it but now that I was wise and bought a washable one, I hardly mess it up lol

When have 4 PCs in the office and two of them are always disgusting because the guys come in from the field and fill out their timesheets on them. I hate having to use them because they are always filthy and sometimes sticky.  ac_huh

Makes me wonder what the hell is going on when they come in and use the computer after the office staff has left for the day.  ac_toofunny

Yeah, sometimes they get back to the shop real late. They all have there own log in codes so none of us are going to sit around waiting for them.

Don't worry, we can track their history if they are fucking around and they have limited access to the main server. As far as I'm concerned I don't care what they do after their day is over as long as they are not downloading a virus or porn.  ac_toofunny

If they are anything like the tradesmen I know they will not linger one more second at work than they absolutely have to.

True; but I know they hang out on Fridays because that's the day there is beer in the frig.

At the end of the day on Fridays they usually all come in around 4:30 (husband and his asshole brother included) and have one or two. They discuss the week and what's ahead for the following week. It's informal and relaxed and the guys seem to like it.

Those are the perks of a small non-union shop.

Look, I'm nosy. What's the deal with your brother-in-law?

He's just a jerk. He makes comments about me and other stuff that he thinks are funny or clever, when in reality they are just rude.

Overall I guess he's okay, he's just a rude dumbass. There is one in every family and in ours, it's my husbands spoiled little brother.

I don't know if he annoys the other guys but I know he annoys my husband.

But worst of all he annoys me and that's really all that's counts. ac_biggrin   One more fat joke and his broken body is going to be found in a trunk of an abandoned car somewhere in the Cascades.  ac_beating
