I would like to read all the books.

I have and I'm up to date on the books as well.
BTW Fash, I'm not crazy about Vikings either. I really wanted to like it but I can't warm up to it. It's presented as historical fiction but its full of inaccuracies. So much so that it ruins it for me.

The violence is not the issue for me. It's the inaccurate social structure and warfare strategies of both the Danes and the Saxons the bugs the crap out of me. Also almost every one of the characters are completely unlikable.

The Red Wedding is about the most dramatic and shocking incident in the series AND the books. If it doesn't leave you emotionally drained then then nothing will.

Yes I highly recommend the books if you are an adult and into medieval fantasy.
I do not recommend the books if you are squeamish about violence of any sort. Also if you decide to read them, do not get too attached to a lot of the main characters. The author has no problem killing them off and replacing them with totally new characters. In a way that's what makes the books so enjoyable because it adds a touch or realism to them.

Oh God. Another one of those Netflix/AMC/HBO/FX series that everyone's talking about that I can't see because I can't afford those channels since I can only afford basic cable.
Azyha's Walking Dead thread on Memebee was bad enough.

Funny, but whilst the plot development rolls along nicely, and remains enthralling, last nights episode was adorned with rather too gratuitous nudity.
It annoyed me.

It's Rhaegar, they were lovers. She never loved Robert as she knew him for a philandering slob and she could never really trust him. I don't think Layanna and Robert ever had sexual relations. The supposed kidnapping and rape of Layanna was a lie. She went freely to Rhaegar to escape her betrothal to Robert.

So why hide the baby?
The supposed kidnapping and rape of Layanna was the catalyst for Robert's Rebellion. Layanna knew that if Robert were to find out that the baby was Rhaegar's he would have the child killed. On her death bed Layanna makes Ned promise her something, you never find out what that promise is but it is implied that she makes Ned promise to hide the identity of the child and raise him is as his own.
The only people who knew the identity of the child were... Layanna Stark....dead, Rhaegar Targaryan.....dead, Eddard Stark....dead...and Howland Reed, Lord of Greywater Watch. So at this point the only link John has to any knowledge of his parentage is possibly the Reeds.

What a delicious episode of this new season. It was so exhilarating. I love how Sansa has become so supreme; how Arya has prevailed as a tough warrior with her wits still about her; her reunion with Jon Snow was sweet, the same with his reunion with Bran and Sansa; happy to see Tormund; still despise the Lannisters; like how Jon flew with the dragons; how Sam told him the unfortunate truth; how Theon came to the rescue of Yara; and the list goes on.
I feel I want to find a redeeming quality in Jamie Lannister but that last scene where he sees Bran put an abrupt end to that. After all, it was Bran who caught Jamie and Cersei in an incestuous interlude and witnessing that is how he became an invalid. Oh the drama continues to unfold.
Who is Bronn supposed to kill? All the Starks?
Who was that young boy who was nailed to the wall and was burned after?
Title: Re: Game of Thrones

Bronn was despatched to kill Cersei's brothers; both of them.
He won't do it, is my prediction.
Bran and Jamie is an interesting dynamic. I think Jamie will seek redemption by joining the Starks.
My question; will Daenerys bend the knee for the rightful heir?
Title: Re: Game of Thrones

I could see wanting to kill Tyrion, but that surprised me that Cercei wanted to kill Jamie Lannister too. ( Why was she mad at him too? maybe I forgot something previous)
The boy who was killed is Ned Umber--he stands up near the beginning of the episode in the meeting and says he will bring an army to help.
Apparently he was in the show previously but I don't remember him
Ned Umber (Harry Grasby). For those who don't remember, he's the 10-year old who becomes Lord of House Umber after his family die fighting Jon Snow in the Battle of the Bastards.
House Umber is a settlement based at the Last Hearth. After his predecessors betray the Starks after fighting for the Boltons, Ned pledged fealty to the family once again in season seven after Jon Snow (Kit Harington) returned to Winterfell.

It's amazing what one misses when one is not paying careful attention such as when you may have looked away and missed a dialogue between two characters. Thankfully, he isn't that significant like Bran or Arya.

I gather it's one of those shows like the Walking Dead that hooks viewers, not me though.
It does not make you better or worse than those of us who like it. I wouldn't call it being hooked either. We could be doing something else but we will make time to catch up on it eventually. We simply find it to be a fine work of art, drama, creativity, special effects, sheer genius. We can't wait to see how it all unfolds. It is something we all can relate to that you can't. That is all.

It's graphic in parts... It's not really more violent than any other show really except it shows violence rather than pulls it off screen like other shows might to let your imaginatin fill in the rest.
You know, there is another new American TV show I like called 911. They aren't pulling unsavoury sceens either. Front line service people witness horrible scenes when they attend accidents. In the context of the story, there isn't much violence, it's just graphic hence talked about amongst fans.

In ancient times, bothers and sisters married, ESPECIALLY Royal families...
It's only wrong in our times because it messes with genetics when pairing close relatives. Inbreeding can and does creates irreversible deformities.

What a delicious episode of the this new season.
When the whole box set comes out, we'll watch the wjole thing in one go because I do not have Fox TV but because I can't wait, I've been following reviews on youtube...
I can't wait to get the whole thing.
Go to GoT Fandom... that boy was one of the little Lords whose father was killed in a battle and he was the new 10 year old reigning lord...
https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/Season_8
Lord Ned Umber https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/Ned_Umber
Thank you for the information and the links. I watched the last season but I can't recall the boy.
It's amazing what one misses when one is not paying careful attention such as when you may have looked away and missed a dialogue between two characters. Thankfully, he isn't that significant like Bran or Arya.
In all fairness, because I have the whole 7 seasons, I can and do watch them over and over.
And because I have done that, I noticed flawed parts which I might reveal after the whole GoT finishes up.

No, they weren't married... Queen Cersei married to King Robert I Baratheon in the first couple of episodes had 3 children but Queen Cersei's own biological brother fathered them. The biological brother is called Jamie Lannister and he was the King's Hand. Basically a Knight.
They were having incestuous sex in a Tower when a young 10 year old Bran Stark climbed the tower, witnessed the act and was thrown out of the tower by Jamie Lannister, (shocking us the audience). He didn't die but became wheelchair bound and a psychic, the 3 eyed Raven.
Now don't ask me anything else.... Just incase you might watch it.

Wiki says the Walking Dead is a horror series... I'm not into horror. I find horror movies stupid or funny... Movies that scare me are Thrillers where some serial killer is on the loose. I refuse to watch horror and thrillers.
"The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series for AMC based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The series features a large ensemble cast as survivors of a zombie apocalypse, trying to stay alive under near-constant threat of attacks from the mindless zombies, colloquially known as "walkers". However, with the fall of humanity, these survivors also face conflict from other living survivors who have formed groups and communities with their own sets of laws and morals, often leading to hostile conflict between the human communities. Andrew Lincoln played the series' lead character, Rick Grimes, until his departure during the ninth season. Other long-standing cast members have included Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, and Danai Gurira."

There isn't a lot of good TV anymore really.
One of channels runs re-runs of sitcoms, like The King of Queens, Everybody loves Raymond, Frazier, Becker.
They're the main shows I watch but now I'm bored with TV.
I watch the news. I was even thinking of getting rid of our TVs altogether.

It's just a TV show but the story is really terrific. That is why millions of people follow it the same as with the story of The Walking Dead. I will disagree that The Walking Dead is just a horror show. No one here can convince me that millions of people have nothing better to do. Yes, they come with it but for me, I was not looking for zombies. Before following The Walking Dead, I never liked movies about zombies.
My wife HATED zombie horror...until TWD arrived. And GoT.
She's hooked.
She even watched Ash vs The Evil Dead with me...and I think she liked it!!!

I really enjoyed the evil dead series. I liked the horror with edgy humor combination.
The gratuitous gore and violence made it even more fun :evilthoughts2: . I don't think fash would like it much.

I don't think any game of thrones thread would be complete without south parks parody of the GoT theme song. IMO an entertaining satire of the gratuitous nudity (in this case male) on the show--

A few years back there was a GREAT ozzie show bout some of the dead rising... I wonder if the Walking dead is a knock off show.. I know there were horror movies made back in the 80s called the walking dead...
The Ozzie movie had a great story but no horror. It was called Glitch and it was fantastic. Something really new and different.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glitch_(TV_series)
Glitch is an Australian television programme which premiered on 9 July 2015 on ABC. The series is set in the fictional country town of Yoorana, Victoria, and follows seven people who return from the dead in perfect health. No one in the town knows why. The series was created by Tony Ayres and Louise Fox. The first series was awarded Best Television Drama Series at the 2016 AACTA Awards. The series also won Most Outstanding Drama Series at the 2016 Logie Awards.
On 26 October 2015, ABC TV renewed the show for a second series of six episodes. The second series premiered on 14 September, 2017 on ABC. Series two follows James and the Risen as they begin to unravel the mystery of how and why they are back, but their journey of reconciliation and revenge is soon disrupted by a new and even more lethal threat.
The first series was made available to stream on Netflix globally on 15 October 2016. Series 2 premiered on 28 November 2017 internationally on Netflix. The show's renewal for series 3 was announced via Facebook on 20 August 2018 and began filming on 17 September 2018.

What a heavy episode it was. I am emotionally drained. I get this feeling a lot with The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. It is so intense that I am unwilling to rewatch the episode. I cannot put myself through the pain again.
Why was it time for Melisandre to die? I missed the story about why she had to die already unless it was simply her choice to go.

The battle strategy was the worst ever seen in TV..
They made the cavalry attack first... Against superior enemy without any kind of a backup... Isolated...
Thats just throwing them away.
What they should have done is move the dothraki to the flank..
Let the dead come to the unsullied.
Use catapults, archers and dragons to thin them out as they are running towards the unsullied.
And after all this is done... Then use the Dothraki to mop up the survivors.

I can't pick between the two.
I think TWD is more compelling because of the character profiles and human drama.
GoT is bigger, bolder and builds on a larger scale of intrigue and conflict.
Both are great.

Also Seven seasons of building up this fight and even two episodes this season of pre fight, and its over in one battle cause little arya stabbed one white walker.
I also think its a bit anticlimactic that in the LAST battle they are fighting cersei, instead of white walkers and zombie dragons.

Before the season started what I was expecting to happen was somewhere between the two. I thought circei and the starks etc. would unite and fight the white walker crew, then when they won I thought circei would turn on the starks etc, and she would be killed in a more quick battle..

The second to last episode tonight. I'm going to miss it when its over  BUT the good news is a spinoff is planned ac_dance -- some details--
HBO has ordered a pilot for a GoT prequel, but it won't directly overlap with any of the events in the A Song of Ice and Fire storyline we know. According to the network, this is what series will be about:
Deadline reports the prequel will likely start production in 2019; a director for the pilot has already been chosen and the cast is slowly growing. Initially, HBO commissioned five different ideas for a Game of Thrones prequel or spin-off, but it looks like there will just be one, for now.
Here's what we know about the Game of Thrones prequel so far.
It will take place thousands of years before the Game of Thrones story we know.
"Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. From the horrifying secrets of Westeros's history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend, only one thing is for sure: It's not the story we think we know."
There is no release date or timeline set for the project yet.

Before the season started what I was expecting to happen was somewhere between the two. I thought circei and the starks etc. would unite and fight the white walker crew, then when they won I thought circei would turn on the starks etc, and she would be killed in a more quick battle..
Almost a year ago I was listening to the "plot leaks" and they described a battle against the night king down south.
Cersei is at best a side-baddie..

Gotta say last nights episoide was very disappointing.
There was a huge logical error IMO -- in the last episode after dany's second dragon got shot down, she retreated from the iron fleet because they were flinging arrows everywere and were stronger than her and her dragon. But in last nights episode in less than 30 seconds she and her ONE dragon destroy the whole iron fleet.
Overall the battle was so ridiculously easy, the men manning the crossbows at the castle never shot arrows at the dragon, and it laid waste to everything . There was no resistance whatsoever. It was like watching tanks roll over rebellious bunny rabbits.
Also the total 180 of dany's character from empathetic slave freeing ruler over 7 1/2 seasons and then breaking completely bad right at the end of 8 and turning tyrant seems an overreach to me.
But still even with its problems it better than most stuff on tv.

It started off on the wrong foot entirely for me. In the very first scene we have a desk that I immediately recognize as late nineteenth century American, by a furniture company in Philadelphia whose name will probably come to me later. The design of the machine-pressed beadwork around the edge of the top.... anyway, it all sucked canal water after that kickoff.

I think they got it right.
The other dragon was killed by a Scorpion because Dany did not know they possessed such a weapon and it was a surprise attack.
It would have been far dumber if they got caught napping again. She attacked from the rear and side, and at a low angle, giving the non maneuverable Scorpions no chance.
The total carnage was the culmination of 8 years...not the Night King battle. It's clear that it was the sideshow that served to make everyone believe that Dany was the rightful inheritor and noble ruler. The battle was ridiculously easy because the story tellers wanted to make clear that Dany was no better than Cersei...or her mad father before her. She simply did what her father could not. Total and absolute destruction.
Well played, guys. Nobody saw that coming, and now everything falls into place.

Well played, guys. Nobody saw that coming, and now everything falls into place. Well in the previous episode instead of retreating, Why couldn't she have just re-maneuvered the dragon to swoop down and attack the fleet from the back and side at a low angle. :001_tongue::laugh:
You make some good points, and I get the Dany as a tyrant theme, and its a cool idea---- *BUT*---- I think they developed it very clumsily-- IMO If you're going to have a character do a 180 it should occur slowly over a long time. If you saw breaking bad-- that's what they did with the main character-- very slowly, over each episode, he got a little worse, so the transformation was very believable. Dany went from super good guy to super bad guy in pretty much just two episodes. As the article peaches wrote says its doesn't seem like believable writing, it seems, like much of this seasons writing, convenient, plot oriented.

Well, we are dealing with a fantasy...and a very complex fantasy at that.
I doubt any TV series has maintain a thoroughly coherent plot through 8 seasons.
I think the entire plot, in retrospect, was to bring us to a point where dear, sweet, angelic (but let's be honest, occasionally brutal and unforgiving) Dany showed her true colours.
The clues were there in her merciless elimination of those who resisted her. But what is clear now is that her whole game was to remove potential opponents to her rule.
Plot holes aside, well played.

She was always power hungry. Always driven to rule the 7 kingdoms. She never showed warmth to the Starks if it were not for Jon.
I am disappointed in Jaime. He left Brienne to be with Cersei with whom he has an incestuous relationship. I hoped he would turn around. It appears he is comfortable with their incestuous love.
I hate Tyrion for freeing him so he can be with Cersei. I wanted Cersei to be burned down to her teeth and bones by Rhaegal.
I am glad Arya did not go on to confront Cersei. It would not have been believable for her to survive a fight with the hideous Mountain.
Varys is a conniving fat slob. I'm glad he's burned out. :laugh3::laugh3:
Pleased to see that Qyburn has been eliminated.
Sorry to see the Hound gone.
Glad to see the end of Euron Greyjoy. He was a pig on two legs.
All this destruction because Daenerys cannot have Jon? How ruthless.
Watch out for Grey Worm, Jon. He could hurt you if you try anything with Daenerys.
I wonder how he feels about her now. Is she still his queen? I cringe.

My antennas are naturally drawn to period or fantasy series on TV or on Netflix. However, if Sean Bean is in that series, it's like my bazooka is locked and loaded and I will aim for that series 100%. I am still hurting over the demise of Ned Stark. I can usually predict that if Sean Bean is in a series or in a movie, that is a good one worth watching. His acting is superb.

Apparently Daenerys' isn't the only one who has gone mad.
Some leftards are using game of thrones to complain about "the patriarchy"
'Game of Thrones' fates of Cersei and Daenerys Targaryen send mixed messages about female power
As we head into the final episode, it's all fallout and resetting as the patriarchy looks to once again strike down a woman for an insane display of power. Same article points out writers are white men--
Quote
writing team comprised almost exclusively of white men. (The show has had an all-male writing and directing team from season five onward.) Two other articles on the "Patriarchy"
Game of Thrones season 8 has failed all of its female characters – especially Cersei Lannister
EDIT I was surprised when I did a search, there are actually several articles in the past about the partiarchy feminisms et al in GOT. It seems Daenerys' just went crazy, but the leftards have been crazy a lot longer.

I didn't get that as much from Stannis, but I did from Tywin, he was definitely a bad guy, but he was smart and had that air of a leader about him. That's something missing from this season is smart good guys and bad guys. Tyrion used to be very clever manipulator now he is just a plain vanilla good guy.
Speaking of, I wonder if Dany is going to execute Tyrion in the next episode for letting Jaime free????
BTW This last episode was the lowest rated of all GOT episodes by fan vote on the Rotten Tomatoes review site. Make of that what you will.

I can't help but feel that no matter what they did, fans would turn away.
It's ending. This is the show's swansong. There is no ongoing sagas, twists, plots and sub plots. Yibbida yibbida, that's all folks.
How else could they wind it down to its termination? Varys reaped what he sowed as a devious, Machiavellian schemer. Jaime and Cersei paid for their sins. Mountain and Hound died the only way possible. Dany turned into her father. Tyrion became utterly impotent.
Final series rarely get fans' approval.

And even if its ending in a less satisfying way than people would like, its still better than everything else on TV right now.

If you watch the first 4 episodes you'll become addicted.
There is quite a bit of nudity... but that petered out in later episodes. I think the nudity was a hook for the male audience.
The worst violence in my opinion was the torture of a character called, Theon Greyjoy. That was hard to watch. Other than that, it's a very watchable show but others may disagree with my critique.

She is a Targeryan.
The cannot be burned by fire. That's why the can control dragons.

Which makes me wonder what the deal was. Just a guess-- George RR martin wanted her fireproof thing with the dragons to be a one time deal, but since he was too lazy to write books for the show anymore, the writers decided she was permanently fireproof and write her that way in season 6 ep 4.

BTW I saw this commentary on line
Quote
George Martin clearly got bored with the Game of Thrones television show, so he chucked it over to the Hollywood writers to wrap it up. Sadly they don't seem competent for the task, because the fans are complaining mightily about the soap opera rush job that is the last season. The screenwriters seem tired of the whole thing, they're chucking it because they'd rather be writing Star Wars movies. At first I thought that they were ruining the last season on purpose because they felt the network wasn't paying them enough, but now I see they just don't have the imagination and writing skills to do this.
I think its a bit unfair . They are good writers. The dialog is still quite good. Its just some of the plot paths the HBO writers chose don't seem to be the best decisions IMO. Thing is though, if it hadn't been preceded by 7 great seasons, people wouldn't be complaining they would say it was a good show.
I think the George RR martin collaboration with the HBO writers produced the best result. RR Martin wrote the plots and the events and the writers did a great job adapting them. But RR Martin lost interest in writing the books, and the HBO people had to write everything and so it was not as good as the previous bunch.
Also I heard a good writer once say the middle is easy its beginnings and endings that are hard.

Yeah, didn't like the last episode of the series. Not sure why the dragon let snow live, same with the unsullied, when he killed their queen.
Worst of all though Brandon Stark as king. Because why? Because he fell out a window as a kid. Well that certainly means he can govern well. :oeudC:

I knew Bran would end up on the throne however, Jon is the rightful King and he is still alive...Think about it.
The spin-off will be he comes back... That's what'll happen IF they make spin-off shows.
I got 2 predictions right. I can't wait to watch it all now. I'll leave the last minute surprises of the other characters until I binge watch it ALL.

The last episode sucked.. Yeah the last episode was really bad. Most fans are saying its the worst of the entire series by far (before that it was the episode before it.)It started out well with Dany making her speech. That was good. Then John Kills her. You could kind of see that coming, but yeah that makes sense. But then after that it just got worse and worse
Quote from: "Odinson"
The whole season sucked.. Gotta agree for the most part, at least compared to the other 7.
Episodes 1 and 2 were a little slow but pretty good.
Episode 3 the big battle was good except some of the strategy was silly
Episode 4 the aftermath of the battle was good
That's when things really went down hill quickly
Episode 5 where dany goes coo coo was pretty bad
Episode 6 the grand finale sucked

I haven't seen it... I've just read about it and what I've read, I cannot wait to see it.
No one wants to see something end... No one wanted to see Bilbo sail away with the fairies and elves in LotR... but he did.
Everyone gets an ending... come on, buck up people. It's still gotta be one of the best shows ever...
Now, having said that, after watching the show seasons 1-7 several times there are scenes I thought completely implausible like... Where did the Wights get the big ol' chain that dragged the first dead dragon out of his ice watery death?

"Gendry joins Daenerys' army as they camp at Winterfell in anticipation of the Walkers' attack. Gendry is tasked with smithing weapons from dragonglass to fight the Night Walkers. At Winterfell he is reunited with Arya, who tasks him with creating a staff with dual dragonglass blades. On the eve of the oncoming White Walker attack, Gendry gives the weapon to Arya and admits his Baratheon heritage to her. Arya asks him how many people he has slept with, then tells him that she wants to lose her virginity to him in case they die in the battle. Gendry and Arya then consummate their relationship.
Gendry survives the Long Night and is legitimised as a Baratheon by Daenerys and given lordship of Storm's End. Gendry finds Arya to tell her the news, then admits that he loves her and proposes to her. Arya is uninterested in marriage and declines. "

Ah ok, I just read why Jon wasn't throned ..Quote.
"And that decision brought about the end of the Song of Ice and Fire. Jon and Dany's love story ends in tragedy: Believing that she has become a tyrant, Jon becomes convinced that he must protect the people of Westeros from her, and kills her. As a result, he's excluded from contention for the throne, and is instead sent to the Night's Watch to end up back where he began."
This is bullshit... Dany murdered millions of innocent poor people and deserved execution by Jon.
The "Nights Watch" isn't needed anymore because there are no Wights left... What is the point of a Nights Watch?

The wildlings were returning home, north of the wall (which was built to defend the north against wildlings, not the Night King).
Jon was joining them, feeling more comfortable with them than his own kind who turned on him and condemned him for saving their lands from tyranny.
The closing door symbolises how he has put Westeros behind him to join people he once loved, and who loved him.

I agree that probably is the best explanation. Although they should have doubled down their efforts even if it was difficult, so they could be proud of themselves.
Now they will live in shame for years because they couldn't be bothered to give it the extra push to get it right.

I just find it unfair to us the adoring fans that they strip us of the pleasure to see it to its true end. If Martin says it could have gone on to further seasons, why didn't they do that? It is therefore unfinished in my eyes. I hope a movie will come out to finish it off perhaps.

I am thinking more about all the great stuff --the tragic murder of Ned Stark for being an honorable man. Tyrion reluctantly leading the Lannister Army to defend casterly rock when Joffrey chickened out and hid. The red wedding was genius--probably the most shocking surprise I have ever seen in any movie or TV show. Joffrey getting poisoned, another huge surprise, and more.

Maybe Ned didn't know his sister secretly married the Mad King's eldest son so Jon wasn't really illegitimate per se. Better to be illegimate to Lord Ned Stark than his sister Lyanna who would be shunned or thought of disparagingly if no one knew she married Prince Rhaegar Targaryen... Lord Ned Stark was protecting Lyanna's reputation.
But you know what, if people are upset he didn't disclose the full story to his wife, then people are naieve about men and what info they give up to their wives.

If we were to put this in real life--it certainly would be possible that Ned Stark's sister's dying wish was that he take Snow in and raise him, and of course not reveal his targaryen ancestry for fear he would be killed. That all makes sense.
But then in the real world, if John Snow said he was the true heir, if dany were shrewd, she would say "oh yeah? prove it" He might have a hard time with that since he has black hair, not targaryen silver hair, and there's probably no Westeros dna test.

There were many things about the show that were good, but If I could give the writers of the spin off one piece of advice it would be go back to one of the things that made the earlier episodes so great. not JUST a willingness to kill off main characters (which many shows have picked up on), but doing it in a way that the audience doesn't see it coming. Its those "WTF just happened? I never saw that coming" moments that did so much to put it over and above other shows, IMO.

I wonder if another series will captivate us and million others like this ever again. It was so captivating. The actors were all great and there was a sweet story that happened. Rose Leslie and Kit Harrington fell in love and they got married. They met on the set. I hope they will last.
It was lovely to see that real life love story come about.
There are hundreds of stories written and waiting to be discovered.
Did you see Insurgent?
If you haven't seen it, may I recommend it?...

It's really good,... it comes in three parts.... but the third part if divided in two discs... so 4 full length feature films.
Ashly Judd is in it...
It'll satisfy your need for action fantasy.

Actually, I just listened to the whole thing..
Women in Zimbabwe and South Africa (Black women that is) can't afford sanitary napkins and tampons... that pays for 7 loaves of bread. They really do use old rags...
Women's hygiene products are taxed then so should men's Viagra.
Judd is forced to point all that out. Good for her.
RealAz, stopped letting men get away with shit.

Judd is forced to point all that out. Good for her. She's not forced to do anything she voluntarily got up there and ran her big mouth about things she probably hasn't the first clue about.
That's the unfortunate thing, narcissictic pin heads like her think because they are famous (mostly because of sheer luck) they should be telling everyone else what to think-- celebs have a platform to speak and common people don't, though common people probably know more than they do. Certainly more than Ashley Judd
(Judd) has spoken out against having kids, saying it is "unconscionable to breed" while there are so many starving children in the world. (even though western countries are losing population numbers due to low birth rates)
She has criticized the tradition of fathers "giving away" their daughters at weddings, calling that practice "a common vestige of male dominion over a woman's reproductive status."
She has even compared mountaintop removal mining to the Rwandan genocide, and has criticized Christianity as a religion that "legitimizes and seals male power."Ashley Judd is an idiot and a radical progtard feminist kook.

Ashley Judd wasn't talking about Africa, I was.
She rightfully complained about Viagra not being taxed.
I was upset when silly Nicole Kidman got up and gave a speech (maybe Cannes film festival) and sprouted off about abo neglect when you and I know full well they are not neglected and they've been to most spoiled of any race on the planet.

She (Ashley Judd) rightfully complained about Viagra not being taxed. Its not just viagra, No prescription drugs are taxed. While most other things that are sold have sales taxes.
No one specifically taxed feminine products and no one specifically exempted viagra from being taxed. You may also want to think about the fact that there are probably some women who want to have sex with their husbands but can't without viagra, so guess what, in a way it's for them too. (I'm sure Trashley doesn't understand this concept)
BTW The shaving cream and razors I and other men have to buy to shave with are taxed too, yet women's vaginal yeast infection prescriptions are tax free. Should I complain??????.
Trashley Jughead is just a militant, man-hating, kook searching for illegitimate reasons to hate men (because most of the time there aren't enough real ones).

1 st season ep 1, 2 may seem slow but by season 3, 4 the shows are epic.
You might not like fantasy and action.

I thought the acting wasn't very good & seemed scripted & stiff.
I find many actors / actresses lack personality & are often not very convincing these days.
There's too much reliance on special effects & that the actors have pretty faces than their ability to act now.
The kind of today's actor I liked watching is Colin Farrell.
He's got a lotta personality and livens up the screen a lot.

I never read the book. I am not sure if I ever will. Why was Robert Baratheon so angry that Lyanna Stark was kidnapped? Did Lyanna love him too? The series shows that Lyanna was in a love affair with Rhaegar Targaryen. That implies that perhaps she was not in love with Robert.

She was semi attracted to Robert but she felt that a man like Robert could never be loyal..
Robert loved her but he would have loved many other women as well..
Rhaegar and Lyanna were in love.
As Robert and Lyanna were promised, Rhaegar stole Lyanna from Robert...

I feel cheated out of the "real" thing if the ending of Game of Thrones as we viewed it on HBO is not the ending that the writer had yet to write. I wish he wrote the damn ending.
My question would be:
Why did Jon Snow get banished to live among the wildlings if he was a rightful Targaryen heir? Why did he not remain with his Stark kin?
