what these simpletons never seem to realize is that rich people do not earn money the way we earn money and are therefor never subject to the same parameters as it pertains to actual money paid out in taxes

yeah, a 2% increase looks great on paper but if your writeoffs and other maneuvers penned in by your 500.00 an hour CPA firm and your team of tax attorneys make your effective tax rate 8% -  that rate is going to remain constant whether the standard rate in your bracket is 40% 50% or 80%

These people are so naive it's scary

So much for Spanberger being a moderate Democrat.

How stupid does somebody have to be to want to give the likes of Tim Walz or Mark Carney more of their money. They will be less fraudulent/wasteful if they just had a little more of your paycheque.

Foolish people believe if others pay they don't have to pay for the services they use. An example of that is Joe who wants to post here but doesn't want to pay his fair share. He wants others to pay for him.

NYC is finding pretty quickly that the "warmth of collectivism" will not prevent the less fortunate from freezing to death on the street

Ironic isn't it, that a mere 3 weeks after that utterance THIS is what befalls the city?

But they wont learn and neither will people like them because there will always be a con man in a shiny suit with slick words to promise the have nots that they are going to even the score

and they never do

The only thing that happens when taxes go up is living standards drop for the middle class that pays for the failed ideas of people like Mamdani.
