1-First time any of you broke the law?
When I was 9, my nanny and I walked from our bungalow to the main street to buy a half gallon of ice cream from the ice cream parlor. After we crossed the street to the ice cream parlor, we were met and stopped by a police man who said we broke the law by "Jay Walking" and that he was arresting us. He escorted us to a Police van where other Jay Walkers who were also arrested were sitting and waiting. We were all taken to the city jail and locked up together in a cell. My parents were at work at the time so an uncle bailed us out. I'm a jailbird.

Let's see. You stabbed a guy with a knife guy and then fled the scene of the stabbing. Ergo, you fled and left him for dead. You didn't call the police like you were supposed to did you?
Lets see, this was 28 years ago + for one, and i was lost in a bad neighborhood.
Three black guys calling me racist stuff, one pulled a knife on me trying to stab me.
I turned it around on him while in his hand stabbing him in the gut area I guess.
His friends then backed off, then ran off leaving their "friend" .
I left also because I didn't know if they went for more friends, or guns.
Someone is killed down there almost nightly, and drugs are a lot of the reason.
So was I in the wrong, maybe for not calling the police after, but I wasn't going to jail for someone trying to kill me.
I'm not sorry either, and don't think I should be.

Yes, you should be above the law and allowed to stab and kill as many people as you want. By not reporting it to the police you are merely a common criminal fleeing justice and responsibility. You must not be much of a man if you are too scared to own up to your own actions.
You killed someone and you don't care - by definition you are a criminal psychopath.
LOL, must be for not wanting killed myself, and not caring stay alive.
Lets see, stay, and get killed myself, maybe let the guy stab me, and them run off to let me die. ac_umm yeah good alternatives.
Don't you think if I had access to a phone I would have called someone, i was lost in a bad area, and there wasn't cells phones at that time.
Make of it what you wish, I still don't care.

If what you say is accurate, you did nothing wrong, legally or morally. All you did was defend yourself.
If the assailant was still alive when you escaped the scene, you are under no obligation to inform the police UNLESS you wish to press charges against your attacker. If your assailant got hurt when he was assaulting you that's, just too bad for his ass.
He was moving some when I left, but didn't look good, i figured his friends would be back with more friends so I left.
Like I mentioned, it was a bad area full of project scum, and drug dealers, no way was I staying.
All I did was ask for directions, and nicely since i drove around it seemed 20 minutes going no place.
I really don't care what the person calling them self Salty Dog thinks.
It was on my conscious for many years, but I don't feel sorry for taking off, or hurting, or killing the attacker.

The scumbag should consider himself lucky he ran into someone like you. I know lots of people that would have put 2 in his groin and just let him bleed out in the gutter.
I'm not naming names here. ac_angel

Things happen in life or death situations that aren't always in character with our day to day lives. Blue is a good guy and he only rightfully defended himself and then got himself out of the situation asap. That is exactly what any law enforcement person would tell you to do.
Whether or not he should have contacted the police afterwards can be debated until the cows come home. But bottom line is that he was under no moral obligation to do so. He merely defended himself from an armed aggressor and was lucky enough to escape with his life.

They are Renee, but the good posts and posters more than make up for it.
Yes, Blue. The real Salty was a good human. God bless him wherever he is now. Down with impostors pretending to be who they are not. acc_angry
