Update your bookmarks and reload your avatars because we are locked and loaded in our new home!



Some things to note:



You can now set your own board style via the options in your board preferences in your control panel.



The post count in threads has been increased from 10 posts per thread to 20.  As a result, some of the page counts on our bigger threads have shrunk.  Retardation thread, I'm talking to you!



Again, I ask if you have any issues, comments, suggestions, requests, etc, please post in this thread.



I will be working on getting a banner up this coming weekend.



Thank you Fash for allowing me the opportunity to contribute to our wonderful little community.  I hope it is everything you hoped it would be :)

It needs some pictures of nuts..my feet are killing me...I went on a hike today...there was lots of mud...but the nature was beautiful and saw a waterfall!

I watched a video of these poor black guys in africa....they grew cocoa beans..dried them and sold them...they didnt make very much money...anyhow, these men had no idea what people did with these beans..so the people interveiwing them gave them chocolate to try...they never had it before and were surprised what the bean was used for...awesome clip! !

They grow on trees.  The cashew has a fruit called a cashew apple and the nut that we know and love is the little dangly part at the bottom.

The cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale) is a tropical evergreen tree that produces the cashew nut and the cashew apple. It can grow as high as 14 metres (46 ft), but the dwarf cashew, growing up to 6 metres (20 ft), has proved more profitable, with earlier maturity and higher yields.



The cashew nut is served as a snack or used in recipes, like other nuts, although it is actually a seed. The cashew apple is a fruit, whose pulp can be processed into a sweet, astringent fruit drink or distilled into liqueur.



The shell of the cashew nut yields derivatives that can be used in many applications from lubricants to paints, and other parts of the tree have traditionally been used for snake-bites and other folk remedies.



Originally native to northeastern Brazil, the tree is now widely grown in tropical regions, India and Nigeria being major producers,[1] in addition to Vietnam, the Ivory Coast, and Indonesia.

Thanks for the advice. You should probably take some of your own. The protein and vitamins found in meat are beneficial for brain health. It is medical fact that after age 60 our brains start to lose mass. By age 75, on average, the human brain will lose about 15% of it's mass. A 15% loss of brain matter will be absolutely devastating for a nitwit like you, SO EAT YOUR MEAT.

If only body mass was so easy to reduce, eh?



All things a re relative. I'm 63 and smarter than you. The dimunition of my brain size seems somewhat academic, therefore.



However, as we now know...body mass doesn't reduce, unless you reduce it. As an added bonus, extreme levels of body mass lead to cardiac failure, physical disabilities and morbid depression.



So, the way I see it, I can lose 15% of brain mass, and carry on quite well. On the other hand, those whose body mass is, shall we say, larger than is necessary and contrary to Mother Nature's design intention, will be lucky to reach 63.



As an added sting...you HOPE that you will look as good as me, be as sharp as me, and be as COOL as me at 63.

It is medical fact that after age 60 our brains start to lose mass. By age 75, on average, the human brain will lose about 15% of it's mass. All things a re relative. I'm 63 and smarter than you. The dimunition of my brain size seems somewhat academic, therefore.



However, as we now know...body mass doesn't reduce, unless you reduce it. As an added bonus, extreme levels of body mass lead to cardiac failure, physical disabilities and morbid depression.



So, the way I see it, I can lose 15% of brain mass, and carry on quite well. On the other hand, those whose body mass is, shall we say, larger than is necessary and contrary to Mother Nature's design intention, will be lucky to reach 63.

This place is so small, it doesn't even need Mods that can ban.  On really old DV (Snitz), the Mods could not ban.  They would have to forward a request to the Admins to enable a ban.  And that was a forum with quite a bit of traffic.

What I completely fail to grasp is how he gets support from others.



Why do people like this, who behave so abominably, attract sympathy, which is exactly the sort of emotional compensation their behaviour is designed for.



I just don't get it. In real life, if someone came up to you and said what that idiot is prone to say, would you invite him to dinner the next day in the hope he will see the error of his ways...despite the fact he has been extended sympathy repeatedly and STILL acts like a rabid rabbit.

I think RDL is beyond any guidance we can offer and furthermore it's not the job of anyone here to provide that guidance. The admin and the mods are responsible for providing a safe and hospitable environment for the membership. Allowing certain members to act out in a purposely malicious manner cannot be tolerated, even when the offender doesn't fully understand that what they are doing is counter to the basic rules of civility.



Don't get me wrong I feel for RDL. Unlike SMP, I don't get a sense from him that he is dangerous. To me he is just a little eccentric and perhaps a little lost. It is a shame that he is sometimes prone to these outbursts of vile behaviour. The man obviously has issues and inner demons but the question is how much of his bullshit is the management and the membership supposed to tolerate?

I am very happy with our new home. The asylum is a thing of the past to me now. I still have fond memories of DV, for some reason, even if that was in the past too. memebee, none. No offense to the dear folks I like over there.
