Such barbaric and disgusting behaviour does NOT have to be part of who we are. I advocate setting a benchmark now, not when the horses have bolted, as to the degree of objectionable conduct we are prepared to tolerate.
I make this referendum without any discussion with mods or admins. I would like them to see the degree of support we are prepared to give them, and to make it clear that this uncouth crap is not acceptable.

We have just separated from a forum who's owner felt it necessary to not use banishment as a means of maintaining forum order.
The consequences of her misguided loyalty to the trash, rather than those of integrity and quality, is this very forum.
If you choose to succour and condone people who wish cancer on another member's children, then you will be on exactly the same path.
Think very carefully about who you value most moving forward, and who will cause the forum to fragment, in exactly the same way as they did (the SAME people, mark you) to Van.
Your personal values are above reproach, and everybody knows that. But with ownership and management comes responsibility. If you are not prepared to exercise responsibility, then you will be inundated with feral misanthropes like RDL. If they conducted themselves with proper decorum, that's not a problem. If the wish cancer on another member, that IS a problem.
No doubt, this post will be cut and paste and re-appear in part or whole over there. The sentiment will be "Here he goes again"...but the fact is I am simply sticking to my principles. Forums should NOT be a cauldron for mental defectives to exercise their unbridled demons. Nipping in the bud is the only remedy.
Now is the moment within which you define the future. I urge you to think not of yourself, but the other members here...because rest assured, they are the one's that will suffer the derangement of sub-species like RDL.

I'd be interested in knowing what provoked such a statement because if there isn't a good reason behind it then the purpose may simply be to offend visitors and discourage them from joining. Expecting a three strikes policy regardless of the severity of the offense indicates that the poster is intending to push the envelope and is primarily concerned with what he can get away with and not that the post is offensive or hurtful to someone.
Based on that I would conclude that the poster is here to disrupt the forum, hurt people, and offend potential new members so that they leave.

The question I am asking myself is "What sort of forum is TBC intended to be?".
At the moment, its difficult to define, but it remains astonishingly similar to its creator, Van. What is the point and purpose of this place? And, does the presence and contributions of knuckle draggers like RDL contribute to that point and purpose?
See, this issue isn't going to just vaporise. If for no other reason than RDL won't let it. I repeat, his presence is sponsored by certain Van goons, and his disruption is their intended outcome.
Conceding to him and his ilk sets a standard, and one you will never be able to raise going forward.
Furthermore, if anybody thinks that pandering to this blockhead will encourage him to modify his behaviour, then you will join a long queue of forum proprietors that experienced the abject failure of that proposition.
RDL is the antithesis of the members you need to stabilise and build upon. He adds nothing but disruption and offence. He is now PM'ing members with his garbage and that is a bridge too far.

All i ask is to be a bit patient. I would like to see everyone post here fairly!!! and with out discrimination. I think that fair dont you?
If Said poster or anyone that registers here wants to treat this place like their personal shit hole they will be dealt with i assure you and will go as far as to promise that wont happen.

I made a judgement call and wasn't aware that I needed to ask before making a decision. I honestly thought that a picture like that would upset anyone and should be removed immediately. I rarely delete anything, even when it was ACC so I'm not going all gung ho or descriminating. A picture that depicts acts of terrorism/murder or pics that depict violence against women is not acceptable. I didn't think permission to remove that crap was needed, really.

I felt bad a few times for banning people, and closing the doors to registration, but the good people appreciated the moves.
