Title: Hello and I am nice to meet you

I have been looking at here for the long time. I am English poor make so difficult for me. My daughter does writes on here. She ask me to do join writes.



I live in Edmonton, Alberta and I work in the bank. My hobby is garden, cooks, hikes with my daughter and my grandson. My favourite colour is gold

I now have onions ready to pick, lettuce, and cucumbers starting to grow. I have dill, and parsley started also, and more herbs soon I hope.

I'm starting some indoors this year, makes for a good head start. I'm glad your daughter is involved, that sounds nice.

Yes we do, and here May is actually the time to go all out, and plant stuff like tomatoes, and summer crops.

I took a chance on some, I keep stuff around to cover them on cold nights.

It's usually my cucumbers that get killed out, or the lettuce needs cut back.

One year it got my tomato plants because I got lazy, and didn't cover them, that hurt a bit.

I replanted, and they did well, but make sure I cover stuff when temps drop.



It's really nice to start your own plants, and fun. :)

No veggies in the ground yet, maybe I cheat this year, and go to the nursery and buy them pre started.

I buy from the nursery before. The spring season became early in this year therefore not buy from the nursery.

That's an interesting concept but how do you make people comfortable enough to participate? In an environment like we have here, I not sure it's possible.

She's more than just my mother. She's the best friend I have ever had.


I know where you are coming from. I have the same relationship with my oldest. I love all my children equally but the relationship I have with my oldest daughter is different. We have a sort of weird bond that is more than just mother and daughter. I think it has to do with the fact that she was my first and for the first year of her life it was just her and I. Maybe it's because we are so much alike, I don't really know. All I do know is that I'm very grateful for it.

That could be it. Mommy was prolly around the same age as you were when you had your oldest when she had me. Maybe a little younger, but not much. Strange thing is we are alike physically, but different personalities. I inherited her hips, but my Daddy's temper.

My Mommy has a lot of commitments too Azhya, but the half hour or so that she has been on here so far didn't interfere with them.
