A social media firestorm touched off by a female TV reporter who fought back against sexually explicit taunts hurled by several soccer fans has cost one Toronto engineer his job.

If Shen Li was truly from Singapore, her fictitious grandmother would have insisted that she paid respected to her ancestors in the Tomb Cleaning holiday. No mention of the the big traffic jam to the graveyards during Tomb Cleaning holiday and the massive amount of flowers in the graveyards.
She said she is from China.
China also has a Tomb Cleaning holiday as well. Tomb Cleaning was also observed in North American cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver.

That's kind of a fine line, I mean I've heard the term "raghead" in highschool and that was 27 years ago. I've also heard slant eye and also round eye. I'm not sure if I think they're racist or just slurring the culture, which I guess would still be offensive. I personally don't use those or would ever say it to anyone to hurt them. I would think it would hurt, though.
