I will be visiting the largest religious monument on the planet, one of the most spectacular and fascinating constructions in human history.
Forget the pyramids, and mayan temples, Angkor Wat is the most amazing place on earth.

I haven't been to Siem Reap but I've been to the pyramids in Giza, Memphis, and Sakkara in Egypt. Hey, they were not bad at all.

Chichen itza and Tulum aren't too bad either. Same goes for the bottled water. Also a private or semi-private (small group) tour makes the experince more enjoyable.

Well being that it is such a crap hole, then you should have no trouble fitting right in.
Have a safe trip and try not to contract something like typhoid or dengue fever while you are there. I don't think we could deal with the little boy the cries for sympathy if you really got sick.

But the BIGGEST humiliation? Having to go to Travelex and buy AMERICAN DOLLARS, because that's all they accept in Cambodia other than the local pesos.
I now have a wad of American cash...who knows which Mafia and how many drug dealers or porn performers have handled it.
