Our local bus network sucks..
They are not on schedule and they are pretty confusing to tourists..
I remember this asian couple who asked me for advice because they saw number 8 leaving the bus stop before they got on it...
They were going to the Santa claus village and there are 2 number 8s.. The other one goes to the santa claus village and the route goes by my house..
I told them that I was gonna ride the same bus and its gonna arrive shortly..
We got on.. They got spooked that I tricked them because I was getting off the bus before Santa Claus village.. :D
In Japan its probably a fucking wonder if the bus is late 1sec.

sharkie, I haven't read your stuff in a while and your bus story was a reminder of why. You have this uncanny ability to take the most simple of actions/gestures and turn them into some great crime against you.
The bus driver you are going off about was trying to be safe and courteous. You were honked at because he didn't want you to waste your time racking your bike when he wasn't going his usual route. Not only that, but after you gave him shit, he took the time to ask you how you wanted him to communicate with you in the future.
I'm honestly feeling disappointed after reading how you've acted towards this driver. He didn't deserve your paranoia, ire, or threats (it's not illegal to honk at people on the side of the road BTW). If I was in Powell River, I would consider finding this driver and apologizing to him for the way YOU have behaved towards him.
