I will be making a new flak vest next month in black and then deciding on which adhesive to use this time for the armor. I'm going to sew velcro on the inside enclsures this time!

Yep, come September we'll find out the sex. I was joking with a neighbor that I better learn to knit now lol

My favorite kind of tea -- any kind of herbal tea or green tea, or earl Grey black tea.

My least favorite kind of tea -- orange pekoe.  So ordinary!

Soap operas I like -- The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, Coronation Street.

Soap operas I don't like -- Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, EastEnders.

I never learned to knit either.

I never used to like flavored herbal teas but the last few years I really like teas like lemon ginger, green, jasmine, mint and black tea which I use to make our own homemade ice tea. My daughter likes strawberry and blueberry. We have about 15 different flavors of tea in the house lol

My daughter and I bought all the stuff for knitting, how to books, hooks etc. We've never gotten around how to learn. We've been too busy with other hobbies. She and I are really loving cos play events and making our own.

Nope, not my daughter, my son's GF is. I'm waiting for a wedding announcement. I have a feeling they will be getting hitched soon. They wanted to be married and finished secondary ed before starting a family but oh well life is unpredictable!

Waiting until marriage, in this day and age, is not a big issue.

My oldest brother (my mom's son from a previous relationship) was conceived and born out of wedlock.

My niece (my oldest brother's daughter) was conceived out of wedlock.

My brother's first wife and he got married when she was pregnant. She was about 6 months along. She had her dress altered to fit her growing belly.  I also have a friend who used to babysit for me and she got married at 3 months pregnant.  There was only a handful of us that knew so we had to be careful not to spill the beans. But anyone can figure out when the baby is born that they were pregnant when they got married.  I'm more traditional and was married a few years before having kids and my son knew I expected them to marry before kids and have their secondary school finished. I'm a little disappointed only because it will be a bit harder for them to achieve their career goals. My son and her are too but oh well, it happens! I know they'll make great parents.

Your son is still in high school?

Nope, he graduated  a long time ago, he's almost 23.  Secondary school I mean college and university courses.

College and university is post-secondary.

High school is secondary.

Believe it or not, I know some people who are in their 30s and 40s and are just now trying to get their GED now that they're clean and sober.

Whatever age anyone is when they graduate doesn't really matter as long as they're happy with their success.

Who knows, maybe when I'm in my 30s or 40s, I might go back to college or university.

I think I read about a lady who was in her 80's or 90's and got a degree in something. I can't remember exactly and I'm too lazy to go look it up. You're never too old to stop learning.

Apparently, now a miniature version of the avatar of the last person to post in each thread appears on the list of topics.

If someone doesn't have an avatar, the bee image shows up as their avatar on the list of topics.

So I started using the bee image as my avatar on there and on here.

All I did was use MS Paint.

I copied the image into MS Paint, then I inverted the colors, then I re-sized the image, then I saved it, then I uploaded it ac_smile

Ohhh well, that sounds easy enough. If I wasn't so lazy I'd try that.

MS Paint is all I've ever used.

Actually, I think once in grade 8 or 9 computer class I tried to learn how to use some other program, I think it was Corel.

The teacher was trying to tell me how to re-create an image in Corel that I previously created in Paint.

I ended up trying to cheat by copying and pasting the Paint image into Corel, but that didn't work out so well.

I have never used Photoshop because it's never been installed on any home computer, college computer, library computer, or internet cafe computer I've ever used.

It must be really expensive.

I've heard of Corel, in fact many years ago I had it on my computer. I never used it because I found it too hard for me to understand. Haha I think I would have cheated too.
