Title: Veterans' hypocrisy
Post by: Anonymous on October 27, 2015, 06:49:57 PM
I just had to respond to Herman's thread about Remembrance Day.

Veterans are always complaining that Christmas is starting to infringe on Remembrance Day.

Well, did you ever stop and think that maybe Remembrance Day is infringing on Halloween?  Yesterday was Oct 26th, 5 days before Halloween, and I already received a poppy in the mail.  So disrespectful.

Have some respect for Halloween.

So we're not allowed to express different points of view, and we all have to agree with one another?

This must be the democracy Shen Li was talking about :001_rolleyes:

Nobody stopped you from expressing your opinion. You were just called out for being a dickhead.

Do you think that shouldn't be allowed? :icon_wink:

I think there's a huge difference between making an argument based on logic and calling someone names.

First of all, before you can even take that stance you need to know that you are all wrong and you have no fucking clue what you are talking about.

Your OP was a blatant troll and a failed misguided and stupid attempt at looking culturally sensitive. Now drop it before you find yourself on the outside looking in again.

So you are denying that I received a poppy in the mail 5 days before Halloween?

Or are you denying that the veterans expect us to wait until Nov 12 before putting up Christmas decorations and playing Christmas music?

Richard are you lonely?

Because it seems that you are just looking for any excuse to make an ass out of yourself, all for a tiny bit of attention.

I'm trying to have an intellectual debate based on logic and reason.

It would be nice if I could find someone on here other than myself who is capable of that :)

Someone who is not ruled by emotions :)

It's important to remember that true power rests in not using authority, but appealing to common sense. We're all human in the end. RDL has just as much to say as anyone else whether he's honest, duplicitous, or in the grey area; a combination of all. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Who said that originally?
