No, I will not. I am self-employed and while I have hired someone to look after field ops for a while I cannot afford to risk being away from it for an extended period of time. I won't use EI or cost the taxpayer a dime. Too many strings attached and it's not enough to live on anyway.

I hadn't heard how the Greeks have been spending their aid money. I have little faith in most EU countries to do the right thing though. France is f*cked and Germany is in recession. Every survey rates the Nordic countries as the best countries on earth live, but you have painted a different reality. Low wages, high taxes and EXPENSIVE!! I believe Northern Finland, Sweden and Norway are beautiful and I would like to go there someday, but day to day life means lower standards of living than professionally employed Canadians would enjoy it seems.
BTW, I have been to Copenhagen.
