RW is in surgery. Whilst the operation is fairly routine, her other ailments add a complication or two.

I know.  I keep getting told I have to scale back and let things slide.  Making cookies was something we did as a family every year.  Even my husband got into decorating cut out cookies.  That's not happening this year.



I hold tightly to our Christmas traditions because as a kid with divorced parents, we were bounced around and never had any consistency.  I know it seems so minor but these little things mean a lot to me.

Almost ready, just have to pick up a few things like socks for everyone. Every year hubby and kids look forward to a year supply of socks lol I have to still buy stocking stuffers, chocolate, turkey and stuff for snacking on Christmas Eve. Oh and this year I'm gonna glue a googly eye on a pea pod for my daughter's gag gift, it's an "eye pod!" Muahahaha! She'll get a kick out of that, we're always doing gags like that to each other.

My son and GF are due Feb 14, a Valentine baby! She's very big now. They're coming over Christmas Eve to eat goodies and open gifts and then on Boxing Day along with some other family members we haven't seen in years for a turkey dinner.  ac_dance

I forgot, your mom is a nurse. It could very well be gas. Some people have issues with the residual gas left in their abdomen after surgery.

So they gave you know indication of what could be causing it? I can't believe they did that. That's what i would term.... "medical negligence".



If the pain doesn't start to subside within the next half a day, you need to go back to the hospital or call your doctor and demand some answers. It's normal to have pain after abdominal surgery or any kind but when the pain is so bad that you can't sleep even when medicated or your are throwing up, it's not normal. At least not in my experience.

Thankyou for asking, Fash, she's doing ok right now.  She had another cyst rupture on her liver but this time an infection was prevented from setting in. Usually every 3 months or so it happens and she spends a week or so in hospital with meds and blood products. Just a few weeks ago she was duped up on antibiotics and 2 blood transfusions for her wisdom teeth surgery and that's what prevented the infection this time around.  She can feel when they're about to rupture so we keep an eye on things then.

This is also why I'm hesitant to open the board to trolls again.  They will just bring that drama over here.
