Title: Lemmy Kilmister, Motörhead Frontman, Dies at 70
Post by: Renee on December 29, 2015, 12:00:06 PM
Thrash Metal loses a legend:

"Heavy metal icon and Motörhead frontman Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister died from cancer on Monday (Dec. 28), the band's management has confirmed. He was 70. Since founding Motörhead in 1975, Kilmister was the band's sole constant member, known for his powerful bass playing, gravelly vocals, his massive mutton chops and seemingly indestructible constitution, which somehow weathered more than 50 years of hard living, hard touring, cigarettes, alcohol and amphetamines."

He was a legend. Someone who lived hard and rocked harder. RIP Lemmy.

I am sorry about his death even though I never heard of him.

I like some hard rock, but that sounds like noise to me..

I know his family and fans are mourning, but that is not a song I would have on my phone.

Lemmy was the real deal.  He lived hard, did his thing, and had no regrets.

He wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone to "go fuck themselves," but oddly enough there are no bad words to be found spoken about him...  This is rare.

I think he pushed the limits always, but never forgot where he came from...

A legend.

Elvis was once also the Devil, and banned from performing in certain locales...

Musical tastes vary between generations and cultures.

It is a business...  I like what I like, and fuck the rest!
