He's been withering away for the last little while at home, and my Mother finally got his ass to the hospital recently.
I've never really been that close to him, or to my parents in general, for that matter.
I have a feeling that he won't be coming back home.
I think I should visit him this afternoon.

My condolences as well, Ace. Sorry to hear that, I know it's not easy seeing someone in the hospital and knowing they may not come back.
Mel is safe from me. I believe on this one. He just mentioned it and has not plastered it into dozens of threads like someone we all know ... nor did he drama queen a side-tale about a dying wish that he vote a certain way (also plastered on every thread he could possibly use for it)
Thinking about you amd your family Mel. "Close" or not, it has an effect on the family as a whole.
When one we are close to hurts, we hurt.
