This evening we are taking the kids out for an escape room experience. They lock you in a theme room and you have to find clues to escape in the allotted time. The one we are doing is zombie themed and supposedly has real actors. Sounds fun!
I'm just wondering if anyone has done something like this or has heard from someone who has. Any details would be appreciated :)
I was locked in a room once (cage actually) with a bunch of drunk and disorderly women but never with any children. ac_biggrin
The drunk tank doesn't count Renee haha

Hell would be being locked in a room with you, with the only key embedded in a cheese cake on a table in the centre of the room.

I wouldn't stalk you if you had a horn in the middle of your head that was considered an expensive aphrodisiac in China.

Well talk to your pet Aussie, he obviously can't control himself.
It was awesome fun. I highly recommend trying it if there's one around you.
We had to solve a series of puzzles to get through rooms to find the cure for a zombie apocalypse. You have to find keys and clues and implements to do the job by solving riddles and such. It was really hard. I'd do it again in a heart beat.
After that, my husband and I went to Dark Table, a restaurant where you eat completely in the dark as are served by the visually impaired. Here's a picture of us enjoying ourselves:

Someone turned their phone on and the whole place bitched them out. The trouble with that is that everyone can find you and beat your ass haha
I won two tickets to Escape The Room in Vancouver when I won the second place Novice at Halloween Expo last year (among other stuff :) ) I still haven't used them. I want to go with my daughter, we think so much alike, I think we'd have a lot of fun but I really don't know what to expect. And you are teamed with other people.
Sounds fun RW.

I just found out from a co-worker that there are 3 of these escape rooms in Manhattan. One is right near Madison Square Garden, one is near SoHo and one in Koreatown. They are all run by the same organization and they are called Chapters 1,2&3.
It sounds interesting enough to peak my interest.

This one has great reviews https://www.thelockedroom.ca but there are a bunch more if you google "escape rooms Calgary".
